I have been here three times for dinner and once for lunch so far, and the food has always been absolutely AMAZING!

Service is pretty decent.

Atmosphere is relaxing as well. We sat at the couch after we had a drink and appetizer at bar to wait for our table. We didn't wait that long. Good thing too, cuz the couch could have kept us.

AMAZING food - one of the coolest restaurants in Tuscaloosa. It's a place closer to eating in hip-NYC vs a college town. Uptown chicken appetizer is great, fried green tomatoes are fantastic. Only 5 things on the menu (duh) and a special some nights, but the ribeye is 28 day dry aged beef. They keep it simple and the taste proves it, because it's one of the better steaks I've had and I travel 50% of my time for work. So I eat a lot of steaks, and theirs is one of the better ones out there. The burger has a topping that is amazing as well, some magical combination of tomatoes and bacon. Love the salads you get with every entree as well. If you go there on a game weekend night, you can expect to wait 90+ minutes because that many people will want food that is this good. My advice is to go on any non Fri/Sat night if you are like me and can't stand to wait. Always great service as well.

Great dinner. However, the menu is limited, but as long as you know that before hand you should be good. Interesting choices. I tried to order a sazerac, but the waitress told us the bartender said they were out. Which means he didn't know how to make one, so that was a let down.

First visit!! I enjoyed the food and had a great waiter. However, no fault of the restaurant, but the flies outside were relentless. I would definitely revisit this establishment again.

(We went there for a company lunch on 8/15/14.)

The overall experience (food, ambiance, etc) wasn't bad.

However, the price for what you get is pretty high. I had the Uptown Chicken appetizer ($8, described as "creamy and spicy" on the menu - fortunately it wasn't very spicy) and the Gulf Fish Sandwich ($13, came with fries and a small thing of pretty good slaw) and a Coke (price wasn't on the menu). Since it was a company lunch, though, I didn't have to deal with it.

The main issues were that the food tasted like other, less expensive places, there are no desserts, and there are no take-out cups, something that most (if not all) other lunch places do nowadays.

If someone were to take me back there as their choice and pay for it, I would go back. Otherwise, I probably would go somewhere else. But your mileage may vary.

The shrimp and grits are superb! Sunday lunch was fantastic! Live saxophone player made the atmosphere amazing! Love this place!

Best place I ate while visiting for a week. Had the ribeye, it was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. Service was top notch at the bar. 100% recommend.

They have a very small menu but the food and drinks were delicious and the service was excellent.

The food was good, not 50 dollars good tho.... the menu literally only had 5 options... I can't get over that
