The Veganish Market

Delightful staff, adorable atmosphere and tasty food to boot, but a bit pricey and vegan ice cream is quite icy in taste and texture.

I really enjoy trips to Veganish and recommend the smoothies and Sweet Potato Street Tacos, but I do wish the plant ice cream delivered more.

In addition, the store is almost always out of a few (or several) dishes, they close for (most) home football games but this isn’t reflected on their website or Google hours, and the online menu doesn’t list all that is available in store.

All in all, it’s a nice new food spot in Tuscaloosa that I’m sure will iron out the kinks with time.

i visited veganish cafe and market today and the vibe inside is beach themed. i ordered the burrito bowl and my friend ordered the garden pasta which were both amazing and filling. i had enough to take home and eat for dinner! the cashier(younger AA woman) was very nice and helpful, she also let us try the ice cream they had in stock and was extremely helpful with suggestions and paring also very detail oriented to your dietary needs. i would recommend this restaurant to visitors as it is one o mf the very limited amount of vegan options!:)

Everything was so good! I tried the simple plate (rice and sauteed veggies), street corn dip, and matcha coconut ice cream.

Don't let the ice cream flavor intimidate you, it was so good I'd pick it over store bought any day.

Really loved this place! Met the owner during my first visit and discussed her vision and hope for the veganish movement in t-town! Loved that personal aspect of this place.
I ordered the beyond burger sliders and LOVED them! Perfect for someone like myself who’s “vegan-curious” and tying to reduce my meat consumption…. But still wants to eat food that I love/that’s delicious!!

So amazing in every way! The employees were so nice and the atmosphere was really cool. I had the vibe smoothie which I loved it was the best smoothie I’ve ever had! The buffalo cauliflower and fiesta bowl were also really good. The food is fresh and it is nice to have a place that has light and healthy food that all can enjoy!

The service was amazing, and they gave out free samples of the smoothies and food while you wait, which was so thoughtful. Such a welcoming place with a great vision. I’m vegan, but I went with non vegans, and there was something for everyone. We all said it was a 10/10. The sliders and the blt were so good. The best burger I’ve had in a while. Like maybe ever. I was not ready. Tuscaloosa really needed a place like this.

The food was amazing!!! We had the salmon burger 😮‍💨 10/10. It was so saucy and the salmon was cooked perfectly! The sweet potato tacos were great and the cilantro dressing on them pulled all of the flavors together beautifully. We also had the street corn dip and it made me do a little dance. We had a mango matcha smoothie and it was just sweet enough and so refreshing. All of the food came at the perfect temperature and it came quickly! The service was great and the vibes of the shop were so calming and fun. This place is a gem! We will be back!!!

So great to have more vegan/vegetarian options in town. I was recommended the sliders by the two sweet ladies working. They were very tasty. I enjoyed my experience, the staff are super friendly and food is good!

This place is GREAT! My fiancé ordered the pesto pasta and I got the beyond street tacos. Very delicious and the employee working was amazing. I also got the matcha coconut vegan ice cream and that was good as well. Definitely a must try for anyone in Tuscaloosa!

I do NoMeatMondays and Thursdays… so I search for creative ways to add variety to my diet. Both, the chef and the cashier,?were extremely helpful in allowing me to sample and choose items that pleased my palate. The sweet potato tacos were amazing! I also enjoyed the green matcha smoothie😋
