FIVE Tuscaloosa

I ordered the Gulf coast platter..$35... the fish was basicly hidden, and was the only thing tasteful..the plate was full of fries. Shrimp taste stale.. my Husband ordered the penne chicken it was SALTLY with extra SALT!! Smh. The hostess was very annoying kept starring at us and everyone else. This was our first time and our last. If there was an negative star i would do just that.

Simple menu well executed. Only five entre choices but you will find something you like. The chicken schnitzel was juicy and tasty.

Jazz brunch is fantastic on Sundays. It's always busy here so plan accordingly. The coffee shop is newer so I recommend checking it out. I enjoyed the cold brew.

We had heard good things about FIVE so we waited 55 minutes for a table. But we then waited another 48 minutes for our food, 2 burritos and a beignet. It was good but not anything to write home about.
If you're hungry, go somewhere else.

We had brunch before a game. The service was great, and so was the food. I had the Shrimp and grits- excellent. Can't say enough about how friendly the staff was.

I have gone before and went again last night and I strongly believe that my second time was much more phenomenal than my first. I truly had such a lovely experience and the vibe I get from the place is so cozy and calm. I would definitely recommend to anyone who is even contemplating going.

Good place, but they need to bring back their pork chop. I had the paneed chicken. It was good, but i was missing the pork chop. The uptown chicken is a great appetizer and I will be getting it again.

OK so the food we got was pretty decent. But it is wayyyyy way overpriced and for very little food. To put it in perspective after getting the check at this restaurant, any other restaurant you pay at will feel like you bought off of McDonald's dollar menu. But at other restauranta u get very unique food, a lot of it, at a great price. Along with most restaurants around that area. Their menus also say you get a salad with your food which we didn't get. We asked the waiter and they said they don't come with a salad. And they don't itemize you receipt they only give you a total so you have absolutely no idea how much they charge u. Ohhh and they leave the prices off the menu for some higher dollar items so u have no clue and then it'd be rude to ask if u are in a party like mine. All in all - OK to good food, OK atmosphere, bad menu and veryyyy bad prices

$20 chicken was the worst "fried" chicken I've ever had. It looked like it had been processed, ripped and shredded, and then plopped back down on the plate in a vaguely plausible blob. I would've gotten better quality at chickfila.
