My wife got coffee and some jewelry the earring she got fell apart as she was putting it on after we had already left the store and the necklaces didn't fit right. We returned two days later to get our money back with our receipts and they only wanted to give us back store cards l credit even though only the earrings were broken. We said that wouldn't work we would like out money back and the manager came from the back yelling at us calling us stupid. The customer service of this place is terrible they do not care about customers or being fair to customers. It's a shame because my wife liked her coffee that night.

Friendly service, a GREAT selection of coffees including flavored beans. I loved this place so much that I ordered stickers by mail (they sent me extra ones) AND when I ordered beans to be shipped by mail, they showed up SUPER FAST. Great place to hang out!!

How can you not love relaxing with a yummy lunch or coffee in this great atmosphere! One of our fave local spots to catch up with friends or take a break from shopping. It’s also on our list for purchasing cute gifts and decor.

Located in a shopping center. Good place to get coffee and breakfast/lunch. There are plenty of shops nearly to walk around and window shop as well.

My drink was delicious. Very pretty too! The shopping experience was a bit overpriced in my opinion. The drinks are amazing though.

Coffee was just okay, the "jelly beans" they sell in the front are just repackaged Mike n Ikes for $7. Check the label and see. The people were friendly and helpful, they have lots of "I wish I lived on Nantucket" home decor items. Mediocre coffee, second hand candy and Nantucket wall hangings aren't really my thing, but maybe they're yours.

Considering how great these reviews are, I guess they recently lost half their staff and started buying frozen biscuits and chicken patties just recently. We waited in line for, I don’t know, quite a while. The line was only only maybe 10 orders long but to the back of the restaurant and standing over tables (with an ominous lack of food). Our receipt said we finally placed our order at 10:30am. We didn’t recieve our food until after 11:30am. Over an HOUR wait for honestly, super lame food. If you decide to try this place, I’d recommend getting the waffles. Our neighbors’ (who also waited an hour for their food) waffles looked super cute! FYI-This place also does not have free water available. You have to pay $2 for every bottle. So BYOW! I’ve never had a worse dining experience… it was very disappointing.

The jewelry is terrible quality. My earrings broke the first second I put them in.Went to return them in the store and the manager would only give us a store credit. The manager(owner) of the store was very rude, yelling that this is his store and his policy. He wanted to call the cops because my husband told the other customers in line to not buy jewelry from them.Horrible customer service. It's a pity , their coffee is good but their service sucks.

My wife and I have been visiting the Southern Grind for years, and have just now come to Google to write a review. Shame on US!! A very quaint, comfortable, and inviting place to sit and relax while enjoying coffee or a selection of any of the delicious lunches or breakfasts or pastries that are always on hand. The gelato is amazing, too...and make the choices very difficult! Yesterday, we asked for a special order for a light lunch. Having not heard of such a thing, the manager was quick to accommodate and make us not only exactly what we asked for, but went above and beyond to make the experience tasty and memorable. How much we appreciate her willingness to go the extra mile to make us something special, then come out to the dining room to insure we were enjoying our lunch. By the way, the coffee is most excellent; and the white chocolate salted caramel cookies are a dream! Made with LOTS of butter...like a cookie SHOULD be! Soft chairs, a quiet TV, lots or retail gifts to choose from, and very friendly staff are always on hand to make an afternoon break become and afternoon "sit in!" Thank you, Southern Grind! Very highly recommended.
Just returned from another trip to the beach and Southern Grind at The Wharf. What an outstanding store. Thank you for being so kind and attentive! Your sister store has a lot to learn from you guys. Enjoyed visiting your store twice! Even stayed a couple hours watching Alabama football! Y’all are so great! Can’t wait to come back! Hummus plate is my fav! So fresh and so well prepared! Highly recommended!
