I just moved to Dothan from a larger city, and Barnes & Noble surprised me as being the best toy store here on par with what one would find in larger cities.
Brands such as Bruder, Hapé, and Brio are available, even though the selection is limited. Educational and stem toys, as well as a choice suite of Lego options are also available.
Obviously, they sell books, but the Philosophy section was a little light vs. Amazon for my taste. However, I must say, while living in a larger metropolis, I hadn’t walked into a proper bookstore in over 10 years, and this Barnes & Noble was a refreshing experience. (2nd & Charles used bookstore is a hidden gem however and also worth exploring!)

Never been in this place before but I needed a book & went in & was helped by Anissa & she got my book for me but she also showed me other places other books I wanted may be. She walked with me me & was in no hurry so I felt I was the most important person to her. W
e had a great conversation. This lady is the reason I will go back again & again.

Great selection of merchandise!! But buyer beware with their buy one get one half off~ manager said it was the way the register rings the merchandise that they have no control on which item gets the half off..... Randomly gave me half off a $2.99 writing pen versus the $14.95 item that was advertised. I would've needed to check out three times to get my items at the advertised price. She said people check out like that ALL the time!! How did I not know this:(

We went here after Hurricane Michael came through, as it was one of the few places open and with power. We were able to charge our mobile devices in a cool, comfortable environment. Also enjoyed some great coffee!

The book store staff are always very friendly & helpful. If you can't find something you're looking for, they will do their best to locate it for you, even if a previous customer put it back on the shelf in the wrong place. The coffee shop employees are helpful also. Want something that you've had before but can't remember what it was called? Describe it to them, & they'll know what you're talking about. They know their stuff. 😎

Amazing staff. So helpful. Helped me find the perfect book to teach an autistic child about lying. The children's area is amazing, they have story time every week. The clearance section has really good deals!

Workers were super helpful to me, the aided in finding my book and checking for a handbook covers even though they didn't have any, I still really appreciate the effort!

Haven't been in a "real" bookstore in ages, but it was just as good as it ever was... plus, nothing like having Starbucks at your fingertips as well. Can't wait to return!

Nice staff, good book recommendations, clean, offers teacher or educator discounts, great children's section.

Place was good, one thing they should consider, get customers on their preferred pricing without annual fee. There are other alternatives, which cost less and delivery at home. The associate was helpful, made good recommendations, and was very pleasant. I don't agree with their promotion of the most divisive barrack obama which caused hate in this country and drove anti american globalism
