Great place with great coffee. I enjoyed the environment of the shop and even as I looked up from reading it was easy admire the beauty of the location. I had a few questions about Revelators coffee and the options for pour over and the barista was very knowledgeable and helpful in describing the desired beans. I came on a late Friday afternoon and the shop was also pleasantly quiet. Not so quiet that I couldn’t have a conversation yet not so loud that I had to raise my voice to be understood or be distracted from work. Great experience.

The past few times I've visited Revelator downtown I've had the honor of being in the presence of Erika and Caroline. OUTSTANDING staff. They take the time to get to know you personally in the most authentic way. So now, let's break it down.
Pastries, 5/5: The cinnamon rolls hit different.
Coffee, 5/5: It tastes like it's crafted with care.
Environment 5/5: Open, lively space. Genuinely appreciate the decor choices, and there's plenty of seating (even on a busy day). Now I will tell you, bring your down coat. Your toes might go numb.
Employees 10/5: They've made me a loyal customer.

I love Revelator's local coffee, but it's really environmentally unfriendly that when I ordered a cold brew y'all gave me a glass bottles and plastic cup. And y'all don't recycle glass.

Enjoyed the live music at Revelator tonight, friendly staff and great service

Decent coffee, but bring a to-go cup or noise-cancelling headphones.
The acoustics are perfect for the most obnoxious baristas in Birmingham. And, of course, their five friends drinking free coffee, giving everyone their free thoughts about the ear-drying Irish-Celtic and Chad Kroeger playlist.
Don’t expect to hear them mumble that your drink order is ready, but do expect to hear them shout every last detail about last night’s stress dream.

Revelator has the best chic vibe of any coffee shop in downtown Birmingham. They have a truly unique selection of beverages and everything is super high quality. It's a great place to study or to take a first date.

Love the atmosphere, the simple menu (with a detailed optional one), the queer friendly policies (gender neutral bathrooms and the hrc poster). A really chill place.

If you like craft coffee and great environment definitely come here. Just experienced this coffee shop for the first time. The pour over coffee was phenomenal, the espresso drinks were descent, the environment was great for getting work done and socializing, and the employees were nice to interact with and quite enjoyable to talk to. Definitely worth checking out or making it your regular getaway/coffee destination.

Cool, relaxing vibe. It is a nice place to chill with a cup of coffee or tea. The staff is very friendly.

Honestly surprised and put off with how unfriendly and inefficient the service was, and from what I gathered we were helped by a manager/owner. The coffee was mediocre, overpriced, and the place didnt have enough cash to break a $20 on a $12 order. Weird, unwelcoming vibes the whole time. Not worth a stop.
