This local eatery is one of the best I've visited in the town of Sheridan, Wyoming.
Featuring 56 choices of pie,
Delicious Hollandaise Sauce among other gravies,
In-House made items 'like mom use to make',
My new favorite drink and first time trying Bloody Mary's enjoyed with meal.
Tonight, personally requested favorite sandwich of 'All-Time'
'Monte Cristo'
Was the best made sandwich ~Of All Time~ that I have eaten up to now. Served with Sweet Potato Fries with Ranch Dressing.
Tell em' John sent you, mention this Google Review and enjoy a sandwich and drink on me.

Chicken fried steak is slightly under 1 acre😊. Also had peach pie but was too full to take a picture.
But the best part was the staff,

Our first time in Sheridan and we decided to try the Cowboy Cafe. Very homey with a definite Western Americana flavor. Locals chatting away in the corner and the delicious smells coming from the kitchen tell it all. My wife had an excellent salad with a blood orange citrus vinaigrette and i had a 12 oz ribeye which was fantastic. Topped off with fresh pie ala mode. Pies made fresh daily on site. Our son devoured his burger and ate part of my ribeye!

HTP started getting hungry on standby so we vectored over to this waypoint for a quick lunch. Ended up loading the Bubba combo and final approach was a masterpiece of this homemade apple pie. Tart, crispy apples in a not overly sweet cinnamon filling with a crust that brought me back to the fireside, hinting of toasted marshmallows and graham crackers. Touchdown wouldn’t have been complete without a sculpted scoop of vanilla, so that’s exactly what we did. How long is the layover!?

We enjoyed a tasty breakfast here after 2 locals recommended it to us. A delicious skillet and we really enjoyed the buffalo and spicy elk sausage. The coffee, however, was pretty terrible- kinda like water flavored with coffee. They’d be better off making real cowboy coffee than whatever is coming out of the percolator. Service was great and fast so I’d recommend you enjoy food here and then go to one of the many other coffee shops in town for real coffee. That’s what we did.

I had the caprese panini in June and it was delicious. I've since had it twice in late August, and either they have changed cooks or don't care anymore. They are closed on Wednesdays but they don't have this information on their telephone message. The last two times the bread fell apart, dry and stale; the cheese was not melted at all, and the tiny pieces of cold, unripe tomatoes fell out of the pannini. What gives it flavor is the pesto which was almost invisible. I will not be going back to the Cowboy Cafe.

Had breakfast here after a wedding in the big horns on a Sunday afternoon! We sat outside and we both enjoyed our breakfast! Service was friendly and fast!

The folks here are so friendly and helpful. Oh, and the food is delicious. I absolutely love the Cobb salad and my husband loves the open-faced roast beef sandwich with mashers.
He said Cowboy Cafe has the best chicken fried steak in town!

Very nice breakfast experience in a quaint western cafe. The food was good quality and well prepared, the room was comfortable and clean, and the staff was welcoming and very friendly and efficient.

Seriously one of my favorite breakfast places EVER. I love going to a small town and grabbing breakfast and there are a group of older gentlemen and ladies - that's how I know I'm in the right spot! Breakfast was amazing (I had a skillet breakfast-yum)and coffee was great and our server was soooo friendly. Great way to start our day.
