We decided to stop by the charming Cowboy Cafe for a late lunch. The service was quick and polite and decor had a wonderful western feel. The Ham and cheese panini was pretty good. A bit disappointed that it was a la carte and had to buy gems on the side. The cheeseburger was alright. The patty seemed pre made, which was somewhat saddening with the prices that they charged. One would think that a customer would get fresh, not frozen. This isn’t fast food. The winning portion of the meal was the pie. The homemade strawberry rhubarb pie was fantastic. Warmed and topped with vanilla ice cream, it took all my woes about the chewy hamburger patty away.
Unfortunately, if I was to go back to Sheridan, I don’t think that I would be trying the Cowboy Cafe again.

Had the spicy elk sausage breakfast combo! It was a tremendous (and filling!) start to the day. It was packed when we visited - understandably, as the food was excellent and very worth waiting for. Staff was lovely to boot!

Stopped here randomly for dinner and it was great! Had the trout dinner with a baked potato and fresh vegetables. Trout was absolutely delicious.

Service was fantastic too! My waiter was super personable and had great recommendations.

So I arrived just after 8am on a Saturday not to bad a start was seated immediately and coffee was served right away order taken very quickly. Got the chicken fry with biscuits and gravy quickly and hot. I enjoyed my chicken fry and eggs. Not enough gravy so I was going to ask for a side of gravy no big deal right....nope I sat for almost an half an hour and the staff was more concerned of clearing tables and getting people in the Wait satff was moving so fast around the dining room didn't even notice me trying to flag em down because after my meal arrived that was it the service stopped I left after about 45 minutes of being FORGOTTEN. I understand your busy but you gotta take care of the ones already enjoying there meal. The people at the door waiting will wait because of excellent IF it was given. Truly disappointed that I didn't get to finish the rest of my meal

Excellent food 👍 I'd say skip the main course and go straight for the pie ... but the meatloaf was pretty darn good. Excellent food & good ppl , be patient if they're busy , the food won't disappoint.

Very freindly server. Fast service. My omelet was very good. It had great flavor in the toppings. Great ham, bacon, cheddar cheese and pepper jack. Seemed to be a local spot.

Had their Yellowstone skillet for breakfast and opted for the spicy elk sausage instead of buffalo sausage. Talk about the perfect combination of heat and flavor! Everything was cooked just right, and portion size was ample but not overwhelming. Service was prompt and smooth even with it being a full house. I'm looking forward to exploring their menu in the future.

Popular restaurant on Main St which was crowded on a Friday morning at 9:30 am. Lucky for us we got the last seats but those after us had to wait. I ordered the light breakfast (1 egg, 2 bacon and choice of toast) and my husband ordered 1 Bisquit with gravy topped with an egg + hashbrowns. My breakfast was good. Bacon was crisp and the rye toast was yummy. My husband's biscuit was fresh but the gravy lacked flavor and the hashbrowns were cut in a rectangle and cooked in the oven rather than a skillet making them soft rather than crunchy.

The service was good although we were never offered a refill on coffee and the owner set thr dirty dish bin on our table to grab my husband's dish. (I was still eating ànd she did apologize after). I know it was busy and it is likely there are not filled staffed but these little things would make the customer experience better. Overall, an okay meal.

Pictured below is my light breakfast but the photo of my husband's meal did not come out.

The chipotle patty melt (beyond burger as a vegetarian option), with Swiss cheese and sweet potatoes is great, the hot roast beef sandwich with mash potatoes is like ratatouille type of memory

After a long day of adventures, we stopped in for dinner and it was sensational. Friendly and welcoming. Great food. Super good pie.
