Lots of great choices, service is terrific, nice patio to enjoy the weather and people watch. The buffalo meatloaf is amazing!

Cowboy Cafe in Sheridan, Wyoming is a five-star restaurant! The Elk Sausage and Buffalo Sausage were amazing, the staff was kind and attentive, and the coffee was hot, delicious, and plentiful. Highly recommend!

I had a great experience at the Cowboy Cafe. Needing a place to have a quick breakfast, I stopped in at was immediately seated by a kind lady. The place is very cheerful and comfortable. After reading the menu for a few minutes I ordered and only had to wait a short time to receive my meal. I ordered nothing out of the ordinary, just a regular breakfast with coffee. The food was good! I recommend giving the Cowboy Cafe a go.

Our waitress was fantastic! So friendly and helpful. Sadly, they were breaking in a new cook and there were some serious hitches with the food, but the waitress took my meal right off the bill and offered dessert on the house. Honestly, I would try them again on our way back through the US once the cook has a better handle on things, just because the service was so good. And to be fair to the new cook, it was his first shift in the kitchen on his own and they had had a serious dinner rush just before we arrived.

Fast friendly service. Great waitress. Good food. Decent prices.
Definitely a good place for breakfast and lunch in Sheridan. Good French Dip. Good Eggs Benedict.

This is the best little diner around. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all amazing. And the pies! Flavors change daily, but there are no bad choices. We had the Carmel Apple Crunch, and it was incredible! Go if you get the chance.

Great little Cafe in downtown Sheridan. We went on a Sunday morning and there was a wait line outside to get in. Staff did a great job flipping tables as quickly as possible while still providing great service and food. Definitely worth the wait. Another nice feature was that they served not only breakfast but lunch too given I have one member of my family that is not a breakfast fan.

My boyfriend and I stoped here while traveling, i got the urban grilled cheese with sweet potato friend and he got the outlaw burger i believe with regular fries, food was delicious and came out fast, I HIGHLY recommend the sweet potato fries they’re to die for! The waitress was also very kind, it is also in the cutest spot downtown so we also went and did a little shopping afterwards! 10/10 experience

Unfortunately despite all of the rave reviews I've read, this was one of the worst meals I've ever had.
Upon walking in, the interior is understandably dated, and decorated here and there with Cowboy Americana. Once youve been sat though, it becomes clear that the sanitation of the establishment is severely lacking. Tables were not being wiped down between seatings, and cups were being stored still wet and ripe for bacterial growth. This is just the start of the bare minimum attitude this establishment has.
The waitress is the one saving grace of this place, merrily serving all of the tables herself, and she swiftly took my order of a Mushroom Swiss Chicken Fried Steak. It came out shortly after as a literal hot mess, white gravy spilling off the side of the plate and onto the table below. Bon Appétit. For what it's worth, the Chicken Fried Steak itself was passable, though a pepperier gravy would have hit the spot. The true detriment were the sides, which were neigh unpalatable. The mashed potatoes were simply that, boiled potatoes coarsely mashed and without a speck of salt, cream, butter, or any sense of care. They were lumpy and mealy, but were able to be coughed down with the aid of some gravy. The vegetables on the other hand, were beyond saving. A seasonal summer mix of corn, squash, and carrots that would typically be a delight, were instead a slimy mess of barely cooked produce that, like the potatoes, lacked any hint of salt or seasoning that could help mask the poor quality of the vegetables. Fresh? Frozen? I'd be amazed if they were anything but the latter.
The highlight of most reviews was their homemade pies, but unfortunately after eating dinner here I could hardly stomach the thought of another bite at this location. If you're a restless cowboy on the brink of starvation you'll find a meal here, but I'd recommend moving along to any other watering hole here in Sheridan.

We had several dishes and all were very good. The Chipolte patty melt was melt in your mouth good. Also had Avacado burger and open faced roast beef sandwich, all good. Try the peach mango white sangria, yum! They have so many choices of pies, but we didn't have room.
