Cafe Rio Mexican Grill

This place is always great for food. And it's usually the same no matter where you are. The salsa is great. Service was as good as it could be, with the lines they had, but generally good. Staff seemed friendly overall too. Always fun to eat at Cafe Rio.

Asked for beef, got sweet pork. My wife asked for sweet pork on her salad and got chicken. Her salad came with two dressings for some reason, when we didn’t ask for extra. Later saw on the receipt they charged us $1 for it. Bad experience, decent food.

Not quite sure how they got such good reviews so far. I've never waited at a cafe Rio this long, at any of the many locations I've been to. There were 8 people in front of me and it took 25 minutes to get to the register to check out. They were out of beef, steak, guacamole, and Mexican Coke. They didn't seem short-handed, but were just very lackadaisical in every thing they did, and it's no surprise they were out of so many items. They clearly need new management and/or training.

I had the worst experience I went to go eat at your restaurant they didn't even get anything to eat they where just talking and looking at me and looking I had no help and u guys have just lost a customer today this is not ok it's rude and disrespectful to ignore a customer like myself

Food is great, but the staff seem stoned or asleep. There was a really dusty over head above where some food was being prepared and someone went out of their way to write in the dust "clean this, it looks horrible!" guess they thought it was easier to write that than clean it? 3 stars only because the food is good.

We love Cafe Rio, we eat there every time we are in Rocksprings.
The Food is made from scratch with fresh ingredients.
We almost never finish our food so we take it home for another meal.
I ask the cashier for a to go bag like I usually do, she told me they were out of bags.
As we sat and ate our meals I kept seeing the cashier give customers to go bags.
I asked another employee for a to go bag, again I was told they didn't have any and again the cashier was handing customers to go bags.
I walked up to the cashier and said, "I thoughtyou didn'thave any bags so why do customers keep walking out with bags" she then handed me a bag and I bagged up my food and left.

Its hit or miss. Today was a good visit, food was good. Although not having any drink choices as a diabetic is a real downer. They used to have good tea but no longer offer it. Only water or diet coke.

Visited off the recommendation of a friend while passing through this town. The food was alright, though the veggie burrito only contained beans and rice in it, and the rest on the side- a bit disappointing in my mind. Queso was good, but I've had better, and we were surprised that shredded cheese cost extra on the burrito. The value didn't seem there. There was a good selection of tasty, fresh drinks but they were out of regular tea at the time. Service was fast and friendly, and everything seemed clean enough. Also worth noting was that the place was freezing. Might return if in the area, because there's such limited selection in this part of the state.

After waiting an HOUR AND 20 MINUTES for our 2 dishes and seeing many people who ordered after us get their food. I went up to the curb and the lady came out and told me, and several other people, that her manager said we all had to get back into our cars. We were all 6 feet apart and not being disruptive but another man standing outside said he had been waiting an hour too! I just asked her to refund our money so we could go somewhere else. THEY STILL HAVE YET TO REFUND OUR ORDER. We went to Jimmy John's instead and they had our order done in 3 minutes. Thanks for nothing, we will never be coming back.
