First time to visit the restaurant. Approaching building the windows on outside are extremely dirty which is an indication of the maintenance level of restaurant. As I approached the counter to order, nice clean looking workers worked there but that is where it stopped, kitchen was messy with food drippings and such in areas they should not be. Food castoffs in areas should not have been..... Ordered Chicken Quesadillas and enchiladas. Chicken was taken from a pan of hot water. Rice was plain and pinto beans were good. The food was heated on a grill that had alot of black on griddle to heat up the Qeusadillas. As my helper made my enchiladas that led to over cooking the Qeusadillas and drying them out.
All of this said I think it would be better to wall off the kitchen as it is not one for customers to view.
Food 2/5 not good except chips...sauces were good.
Restaurant needs:
1. Clean Windows
2. Paint and touch up areas of restaurant.
3. If the service area is to remain visible to public. Clean it up and ensure that what the public sees is spotlessly clean.
4. Think of different ways to keep meats hot...maybe even refrigeration with a fast cook 5 min convection oven instead of the pizza 30 second heat up oven. Does not get food hot enough.
5. Serve food in Styrofoam containers... aluminum foil looses heat so quickly.
I don't write this to hurt the restaurant but to help it as if I am thinking these things then so are others. This restaurant has so much potential.

We were pleasantly surprised by this little Mexican restaurant in a shopping center. It's not fancy, you need to order your food cafeteria style and tell them what you want in your salad or enchilada. The ingredients were all fresh. They were making their own tortillas right there. Lots of people were getting takeout. It's obviously quite popular.

Being a chef all my adult life, my food usually has a twist. At Cafe Rio, the employees granted me everything I asked. Therefore, the food fit my palate exquisitely. Didn't hear one unsatisfied remark. Using the present day happy scale, I would have given them six star if there was another.

Best customer service from a Cafe Rio ever. (From utah with them all over!) Best customer service in WY that I have experienced in a long time. The adorable friendly lady working today with braces, you get 5 stars just for you! You were so friendly, happy, your lime toss was legit, and you made the visit enjoyable after traveling for 3 hours with kids, We all enjoyed a nice break with great food! Thank you!

The service is good. The portions are good. NOW if they can make it taste like Mexican food they would have a place worth charging 12 bucks for a burrito.

Food is great as usual but the customer service at this particular Cafe Rio is absolutely terrible. The employees were so rude and impersonable the entire time. They did not listen well when we were ordering and were not even apologetic when they messed up our orders. We came in at a time when no one was really in the restaurant (3pm) and they were obviously not doing anything, but still seemed like we were such a burden. We got many eye rolls and dirty looks throughout the process. Again we enjoyed the food and the taste, but not the people working.

Probably the best Cafe Rio I’ve been to, with the best employees.
I’m taking burritos back to my sister in Indiana that craves these... like we all do...
Anyway; the employees were amazing at accommodating my special order, and all of this ten minutes before close on a Saturday evening.
Great people, great food!
Thank you!!!👍🏻
