The Mint Cafe

Very good food, and well priced for downtown restaurant. Fun old timy atmosphere and quick service. I really enjoy some of the lunch specials. I like a place where I can order anything on the menu and have faith it will be good. I would recommend for sure.

Stopped there for dinner before a concert across the square at Grand Theatre. Service was friendly and food was excellent. Was busier this night but food was still served in short time...and tasted delicious! When in the downtown area again I'd definitely stop again.

I don't live in Wausau anymore. And I've never been here. BUT I will be coming in the next time I'm in Wausau. I read a post on Facebook about how the owner of this restraunt feeds a homeless man every night. And THIS is exactly the type of business I would LOVE to support! You're a great human being!

Been here several times now and each time the service and food has been amazing. I am a huge fan of the pesto portabella mushroom sandwich. By far my favorite place to stop when in Wausau!

The Mint was an unexpected, delightful lunch experience! Yummy food & quick service, despite how incredibly crowded it was at lunchtime on a work day. This is not the spot for intimate conversations but it is a great work lunch choice. I had the Greek Salad, which was perfectly crunchy and flavorful.

Love visiting this historic diner. Had a wonderful meal. Restaurant was clean and staff was friendly. We will be back.

First time here stayed at the Jefferson Street Inn and ate here for breakfast and it was phenomenal! Excellent service reasonable prices neat atmosphere! I came with a group of 5 and was seated immediately. I had a Denver omlet it came with melty cheese and was made with 3 real eggs! The griddle is open and you can watch the chefs cook if you sit at the side counter. 10/10 would recommend!

I didn't expect such great food and service from a diner, but this place is special. I had to complain about one thing: their prices are too low. Seriously. Go look at the menu. I think it's from 1990. I had the roast turkey dinner and a beer and soup and mashed potatoes for $13.96. if you go, leave a big tip. They are working hard back there.

Had lunch after an appointment. Perfect small cozy cafe. Friendly service, clean, food was fast and very yummy. And the chef even helped my son find the restroom, will definitely come back. Great job!
