Such a sad story on how this great little place became into something so wonderful! The atmosphere was great. Attentive servers. Tast drinks and food. I look forward to going again when I am in town again.

This unique Niche restaurant provided us great service and exquisite food. Everything was fresh and prepared to our liking. Food was good.
This restaurant is uniquely located near all the downtown shops and restaurants across the street from the farmers market and craft display areas in downtown Waupaca. Handicap access handicap parking
Our server was friendly polite and efficient in her use of time to provide us a meal that was hot and ready.
The owner was interested in how we enjoyed our experience and her and her daughter made us feel welcome. I highly recommend Little Fat Gretchen's restaurant.
They were all busy making sure the restaurant stayed covid-19 clean with a guest coming in. They kept us socially distant and our dining areas clean.
They also make homemade pies and cheesecakes that are decadent delicious flaky light crispy tender flavorful. Don't miss this little Hideaway it's quite the gem.

The staff was great! The food rocked! I highly recommend this place. You may need to wait a little to be seated but it is well worth it! Hard to find places like this nowadays.

Little Fat Gretchens is a great little breakfast spot in downtown Waupaca. When you walk in you get that feeling like you’re in a old style diner. Very welcoming.
I ordered the biscuits and gravy and added egg on top with sausage on the side. Everything about the experience was good.
The only reason I didn’t rate it a 5 was due to the sausage needing a bit more flavor. To me it just tasted on the bland side.
I’ve never come here late enough in the day to try out the lunch menu. But whenever I’m in the area I’d be excited to do so.
Definitely a recommend to anyone looking for breakfast.

We stopped in for lunch it was delicious !
I'm a burger critic & it was superb 👌, 1st bite you taste the quality of meat. And the hot ham & cheese sandwich, 1st bite you taste the butter crispy toast & mustard! Yummy fast and delicious thanks!

So I had this today...a breakfast bruschetta panini....this included provolone, marinated tomatoes with a tiny bit of garlic and a good dose of sweet basil. In addition, it was dressed with a perfectly done egg with a crown of microgreens and tiny splashes of glazed balsamic. The dishes that come out of that kitchen are amazing. This dish receives a Gold Star rating.

I can't get over how good this place is! Last time I visited for lunch and had the buffalo chicken wrap which was nothing short of amazing and today I tried the Cheesehead burger....SO GOOD!!! Not only was the food outstanding, the service was top notch. Let's just say I did not feel disgruntled leaving a tip for all their hard work, THANK YOU!!!

Food was very good and must be the favorite local breakfast restaurant. It was very busy and we had to wait about 10 minutes for a group of 6.
The only issue we had was when we went to the register to pay the bill. The cashier was not very happy, and let us know, that now she will have to add up all four tickets because we offered to buy my brothers and wife breakfast for his birthday. Said we will have to wait and then took the persons ticket next to us first.

Splendid experience! Stopped in late on a snowy Saturday evening to an almost empty place. I think we’d drive an hour just to return - cozy interior, good tunes and very good food. Their sweet potato fries are what dreams are made of.

Little Fat Gretchen's is a delight! Yummy breakfast and lunch foods, with more than typical diner options. For example, I got a vegetarian beet panini (w/ pickled onions, spinach, feta). We also had some of the most delicious fried cheese curds. And then... there were the baked goods! So many options! We had Door Co. cherry pie (vegetarians, fyi- their pie crusts are all made with lard, according to our waitperson), chocolate peanut butter pie, and sweet potato maple cheesecake (which was outstanding!!!!). Service was also wonderful!
