very busy place, nice atmosphere, little pricey for a sandwich, chips and a pickle. We ordered and asked for fries for hubs burger and onion rings for my blt on homemade rye(which we had to pay extra for). Hubs enjoyed his, and u can see by the pic. the quantity of fries he received, but that burger was barely done(glad i wasn't eating it). my blt was just ok, the bread was dry and crumbly, wouldn't order again, very little tomato. and mayo. as u can see by the pic that the onion rings were way overcooked, in my opinion, should never have been served. some were inedible. My hub was asked if he wanted more of his drink, but i was never asked! For $44 i expected better than what i recieved. Will not be on my list for a return visit. Sorry.

Awesome food, waitstaff and price. Hashbrowns made from baby red potatoes from scratch. Highly recommend to anyone wanting great food.

Came for the amazing biscuits and gravy, stayed for the sweet potato cheesecake ♥️! Staff was great even though it was busy. Came back the next week for their cowboy omelet (really good too)

Full chefs kiss. All fresh made, amazing quality of food ingredients, plus retro style! I personally recommend the veggie wrap or for breakfast there’s the 2 egg, swap toast for pancakes. Hash browns are made from red russets!! Plus full bakery goods and daily special! Our server Danielle gave service with a smile and those great at home vibes. Come here and you will never be sorrry!!!

I had the strawberry rhubarb french toast and it was so delish. Not too sweet and just enough of everything to make it work. Keep this on the menu for your specials. Anything rhubarb works for me. Just wish I knew what the specials were on line. My husband had the basics egg, bacon potatoes, and he had no problem clearing his plate. Keep up the great work.

Very accommodating to the vegan/plant based folks. I recommend getting the omelet without egg, substitute with hashbrowns and load it with veggies. So delicious. The service was so quick and amazing too! Danielle and the whole staff are on top of it.

When you see a place that has an iconic “EAT” sign, you know it’s going to be good. Small town diner serving up excellent breakfast/lunch fare. I am a sucker for cheddar melts and this particular day it was a special being offered. Perfectly made, flavorful and should be on the menu as an everyday staple. The service here is top notch, other big town restaurants should send their staff here to watch and learn. Our server knew exactly when and what we needed without even asking. Waupaca has a hidden gem indeed, a must stop place if driving through town.

If you are looking for a place that has the charm of the little mom and pop restaurant, Stop here. The decor is wonderful. There is a sweet story on the wall of the restaurant. Our food was delicious. My husband had his usual when we go out on an adventure. Ham, egg and cheese omlet which he said was delicious with homemade bread. I had the home made black bean veggie burger with fresh avocado, lettuce and tomato. We had cheese curds for an appetizer but ate them all before I could get a picture. Little Fat Gretchens is known for their desserts so we had Godiva Chocolate cheesecake and peach raspberry pie to go.
