Yola's Cafe and Coffee Shop of Madison

First time in and it was great! I had the caramel apple cider and it was AMAZING! I got the turkey sandwich which was also great. I hear their baked goods and waffles are terrific so I will be back for breakfast!

The atmosphere is addicting. We bring our 1.5 year old daughter there often to eat the amazing oatmeal and play in the adorable little play area. Local art decorates the walls. A rack of suggested books is a nice touch. I use the iphone app every time I go and have earned several free coffees. The food appears healthier than the average and is delicious. My wife (no pregnant) CRAVES their waffles. Huge outdoor patio with plenty of room inside. Great for a work lunch or an early morning meeting over coffee. Staff is super respectful and the owners seem to have a true passion to be the best. Little table decorations usually consist of fresh flowers.

Try it. Go there and meet a friend. I promise you'll want to go back.

I don't usually write reviews, but when I do, I prefer to right only good ones. Lance, Lisa, and Staff at Yola's is that great combo of great service and great food from a local business who works hard and offers a lot for the community they are in. For my business, I often meet folks at coffee shops, and Yola's is one of my top picks on the west side of town. The place is clean with lots of natural light, and warm. I sometimes also have events where I need catering, and Yola's is one of the places I go to as I know I can trust them to execute the order with no issues. One of my events was an Dane Buy Local expo, and Yola's stole the show.

Edit: I had hurriedly searched Google reviews for good coffee near our hotel, and was excited such a great place was so close by! When we got there, the wait was really long just to find that the coffees we ordered were underwhelming, at best.

When I brought this to the cafe's attention, the owner (Lance) was very kind and offered to replace our drinks the next time we are in the area! Incredible customer service! Looking forward to trying Yola's again.

It seems every time I go in here they are out of cold brew, no matter what time of day. I have been in here multiple times for a quick drink and end up waiting way too long compared to other local coffee shops. One instance I waited 20 minutes on my lunch break, because they forgot to make my order. The food is average at best. I tried to like this place, but won't be coming back.

When I read the advertisement on their website that they were reviewed as having the "Best Waffles in the State" I had to try them myself and they did not disappoint! These waffles are terrific and their Patriot waffle is absolutely delicious! Well worth sitting down and enjoying a latte with a delicious Belgian waffle!

Waffles are still some of the best in Madison, if not the best. I would stick to the basics, sometimes the waffle of the month is just the normal version with a tablespoon of something in top

I order my coffee with a flavor shot. And more often than not, I cannot taste that flavor. Either not enough flavor shots or the coffee is too hot. I'm leaning towards not enough flavor shots because I cannot taste it when it cools off ... But my tongue is scarred... so who knows.

Tl;dr- would still recommend.

Unfortunately disappointed. The mixed greens we got as a side are wilted, soft, and clearly old. They forgot the cream cheese I ordered with my bagel, and the food is just not great for the price. The coffee is pretty good and the delivery was fast at least...

Fantastic waffles! They are also very willing to make waffles to your taste. Coffee has a few options for you to choose from! Espresso is a nice nuttier taste. Great customer service, all had a smile on their face.

My friend wants to call the food bland. I wouldn't quite go that far, but it is definitely underwhelming. The meal I got was just a single step above what I could have gotten from a grocery store freezer, but at about ten times the price. They bring your order to the table, but you have to find your own silverware anf other amenities and you clean up yourself when you are done.
They also can't seem to work a blender correctly.
All in all, not worth the $50 I spent here. Will not return.
