I'm really disappointed in this place. I had heard it was good and it was highly recommended on Google based on the other places in Madison that I love. I got an oatmilk latte with vanilla and the egg bowl with avocado. My husband got a chai latte with almond milk and granola. With a 20% tip we were over $30. That's not pricey for brunch, but for some mixed greens, half of an avocado, and fried eggs being the entirety of the egg bowl and the granola being a bowl of yogurt with a 1/3 cup of granola and some fruit on top, it was disappointingly overpriced. It's not that food wasn't good, but it was nothing to return for. The actual location is good, but the inside is in dire need of a deep cleaning. I'm glad we visited, the employees were very nice, but we won't be back.

I come often to JPH, but have become really annoyed about the bad air quality and grease smell. When I leave the coffee shop after an hour or two, I smell like grease, smoke, and coffee grounds! My clothes and hair are FULL of it, which is... not how I want to smell. Other people can smell it on me.

I have to wonder about the air quality in our lungs and for the staff: is it safe for the air quality to be this bad? I hope that the management takes note and remedies this. There are many coffee shops on the Isthmus that don't have bad air quality, which suggests that there's something the owners can do about it.

Excellent espresso served with a small glass of sparkling water. Outdoor seating on nice weather days.

Highly recommend trying this place out. The coffee was amazing and the food was great too! I ordered the grilled cheese with ham and it was fantastic. If you are looking for great coffee and a bite to eat this is the spot.

The avocado toast (i think i got sassy?) was FIREEEE. Coffee has that warm roasted taste. Will def return

Great place to hang out and work. Good food, drinks, and service with a pretty unassuming exterior and comfortable interior.

Exceptional coffee from multiple roasters, passionate and knowledgeable staff. JPH is at the heart of the Third Wave coffee community in Madison and it shows. Some of the best coffee in the city cannot be had anywhere else.

Madison staple. Some of the best coffee around and delicious food to boot. Great community around the shop as well!

Just heard this place is offering my favorite Ghost Pepper Caramel Latte using Madison Chocolate Company’s gp caramels. Had to try them out. Great customer service and quiet location to work or study!
