I had a good matcha latte and a good cinnamon roll. I liked the atmosphere and the service. The wifi wasn't getting me online but maybe they just can't handle the number of users they had in there.

I was disappointed in the lack of metal cutlery though. I wouldn't wish trying to enjoy a thick cinnamon roll with a plastic fork on my worst enemy. Wait, actually yes I would.

I went with a few friends on a Friday evening. We ordered our drinks and waited at a table near the front door. After half an hour, we inquired about our drinks. The woman behind the counter gesticulated towards a counter further in the cafe, where our drinks had been placed but no one had bothered to tell us. At this point, our drinks were lukewarm.

At the time we went, there were only a few other customers and it was relatively quiet. I have a hard time believing they called our names.

Holy freekin moly was I pleasantly surprised. It's huge and nearly all of it is dark colored heavy wood. Beautiful. It's the totally progressive Madison whole food type place, deliciousness. 😁

I have been to Colectivo Coffee on the square several times over the past few years and have enjoyed the food, coffee, and ambiance; so I am very disappointed to say that my experience today was dreadful. I understand that we are all experiencing different practices in restaurants and eating/drinking establishments due to Covid - most of which are logical. First of all today, when paying for an item, I attempted paying with cash which was not even accepted. I understand REQUESTING that people utilize card instead of cash, but to flat out not accept cash seems to be both ridiculous and poor business sense. Following my purchase (via credit card, because luckily, I did have plastic available) and being pregnant, I needed to use the facilities, only to find the bathrooms blocked from use. I asked if I could use the restroom and was told they were not available. Not out of order, but just not available to use. I clarified that even as a paying customer, I was not allowed to use the restroom and was appalled. It is completely outrageous that at a food and dining establishment, there are no restrooms available for paying customers. Covid or not....people still need to be able to rely on facilities being available at restaurants or places selling consumables. I assume this is not a city mandate, as other businesses do have restrooms available, so I implore Colectivo to please....OPEN YOUR RESTROOMS TO CUSTOMERS.

The cafe was very cool with tons of plants and open windows everywhere. They have an extensive menu with something everyone would like. I got the veggie melt sandwich and it was very good. Coffee was served in a mug which I appreciated.

I love the atmosphere, service, and quality products. The staff are always upbeat and there to please. The back room is filled with comfy arm chairs and couches so it's a great end to a date night or to just chill out.

Good food, cozy environment. Overall I'm not a big fan of their coffee, but they have so many different options, there's plenty I do like. But for straight up coffee, I usually head down the street to Ancora.

Nice place with decent and affordable coffee. It is right on the Capitol square, that makes it very convenient. Service is fast, but struggles during peak office hours... Food is average and is usually takes a lot time to get it... Overall I would suggest going only for coffee and to hang out

Love the coffee here, much better quality coffee beans than any chain coffee shops, also depends on the seasonality of certain brews too. Lots of space and outlets to get work done if you're a student or work remote.

Pro-tip 1: If you want refills, make sure you ask for a mug. They won't let you refill a paper cup and they're very strict on this.

Pro-tip 2: If you're working on the browser make sure you're saving or do the work offline till you need to upload. You get kicked off their wifi after about an hour and have to re-log in which could be problematic for some.

Other than that, great place- I recommend it.

Coffee is solid. Great place to have some coffee and have your own space. Get the pour over. It's just more consistent, it's worth the extra 30 cents or whatever it is.
