Chef's Hat Cafe

Cozy little restaurant right next to the water. It's kinda of expensive but the food and the view is totally worth it. I had the herb encrusted salmon over root vegetables, yum! :)

Delicious food, good variety. The Half & Half is a great choice, half a deli sandwich or wrap, a cup of soup & kettle chips & a slice of pie. Our server, Mary, was fantastic! Very efficient & accommodating to our family, made up of three generations.

Door county continue to surprise the heck out of me. My family and I were in town for a quick weekend. After exploring options a few miles away, we decided to check out somewhere close to where we were staying. The Chef's Hat did no disappoint.

My wife had the Brisket tips, and wow! the depth of flavor of the beef with layering of the peppers and potatoes was complex yet warming. It was filling but not so heavy where you felt like you ate a truck.

I had the Nawlin's dish, which is their take on a Cajun Pasta Jambalaya, it the sauces was the perfect consistency, the meat played seamlessly with pasta and the other ingredients. Also, the heat, was spot on, and it required no hot sauce. It was hot, but not in a way in which it overwhelms your taste buds, it was right on glide slope.

Other than a wait time, but that was understandable, due to Covid, summer, and Thursday Night, the service was impeccable, the staff friendly and eager to help. The only major ding, was the wine based cocktails, but that isn't their fault.

We are already planning our next visit to Door County just so that we can see what else we can try here.

Restaurant was busy for a Monday night. Our server took time to make menu suggestions and work in a order for a salad as an appetizer. Food was terrific, great taste and nice size portions.
Have to say our server, Mary L was the absolute best! Kudos to the staff!

We had such a fantastic dinner tonight! Wait staff was accommodating and seated us outside in their charming garden. Our waiter was very pleasant and did a great job on a busy night. Food was delicious! Veggie bruschetta was unique and lovely on a hot summer's night. Pastas were perfectly cooked and had extremely well made sauces. Everything was delightful! Definitely coming back.

There's virtually nothing bad to say about this place. The owner and all the other employees are extremely friendly and accommodating. The food is very, very good. The food came out quite quickly as well. We ended up here two nights in a row because the other place we wanted was full for the night and nothing is open late around here, and this place was happy to have us again even a half hour before closing (we made sure they were posy with it).

Food are just amazing! Service are fantastic! Everything are just phenomenal! Will surely come back!

So glad we found this restaurant! It's right up the road from our hotel. Scrambles were very tasty. My husband had meat lovers and I had ham and 3 cheese. The breakfast potatoes were above average and well seasoned. It was hard to stop eating them. The star though was the scones. OMG. I had white chocolate raspberry and my husband had apple cinnamon. They were served warm and are crispy on the outside, chewy inside. Just delicious. Service was great and we enjoyed sitting outdoors looking towards Eagle bluff. Servers were masks and gloves. Very happy with breakfast and look forward to returning!

Fabulous food, the best breakfast we had in door county. Staff was very friendly. Drink menu for breakfast was fun as well. Great bloody.

Although we didn't wait long to get seated, it took a looong time to get the food. The staff was polite and friendly and the food was good. The chat with the staff made the wait bearable and understandable -- the seasonal workers that the area depends on during summers couldn't make it to Door county due to international travel restrictions due to Covid. Highly recommend it.
