The French Press

Eh, it's okay. I guess they're known for their coffee but I don't drink it so that's all lost on me. The food menu itself and just the general atmosphere isn't really my jam, no pun intended. My wife loves the place and they're always busy so I'm probably just the odd one out.

A fun, bright, and clean place to enjoy some amazing food and coffee! Menu is easy to read and servers are friendly. I had a maple breve and lemon ricotta pancakes and 100/10 recommend! Let’s just say that if I lived closer I would probably go broke....

First time visit today. I had the bowl of white chicken chilli. It was alright but more of a southwest chicken soup. It was really busy but there were enough tables for anyone that came in. The atmosphere was nice and the wait staff was responsive and pleasant.

I called The French Press on a Tuesday morning with a last minute request to make my dad's favorite pie (banana cream) for his birthday for the following day, apologizing for asking for such a fast turnaround. The baker kindly rose to the occasion and agreed to do this for me. When I went to pick it up, she said it was the first banana cream pie she'd made before. I wish I had video of my dad, mom and aunt moaning in delight as they ate the pie. They said from the homemade crust to all of the other tasty ingredients that went into this, it was hands down the BEST banana cream pie they'd ever eaten. They were thrilled. My deepest appreciation to The French Press for such wonderful customer service and amazing baking skills. You made me a hero for my dad's birthday. Warmest of thank you's!

If I could leave a 0, I would. The cashier, Evelyn was very rude and gave us unnecessary attitude. I asked a simple question and she responded very disrespectfully. The food was so overpriced for the service and the portion. I paid $70 for a couple pieces of fruit and a single egg. Evelyn continue to give some dirty judgmental looks and make me feel so uncomfortable. I will never be going here again.

Food was good. But the portion I got today was terrible for 13 dollars. I could have made a bigger protion for 13 dollars. Plus they messed up my order I said scrambled for eggs. Instead they did over easy

“It’s like a guessing game!” said the blonde barista as she served more drinks and threw away tickets early. She appeared to be training a new girl. A cold brew and a red eye should take 2 seconds, not the 10 minutes we stood to wait while our food turned to cold garbage. Incredibly disappointed for a $30+ dollar breakfast.

They then screwed the order up. Twice.

Got the brisket sandwich, was about $13. Wasn’t a long wait staff was nice, fries were good but the “brisket sandwich” was literally 3 pieces of brisket and some bbq sauce on a spongy bun. Add some slaw or something to it for some texture. Would still recommend this place just maybe not the brisket sandwich lol

The staff is very friendly the food I ordered and that my wife ordered didn't taste very good I had a wrap of some sort of stuff inside wasn't bad that wraps stunk my wife had sausage and some eggs it just tasted different I'm not saying the food is bad it just tasted different you got your coffee after they served the initial stuff out of a coffee maker very limited supplies. The bathrooms are very very clean I thought the price is a little high for what you got but I was hungry the food did fill me up

We ate here for the first time on our trip to EC in April.2022. It was really good and not too expensive. We will definitely go again. If you want to eat where the locals eat, this is the place!
