Black Cat Coffeehouse

We visited Black Cat Coffee on a hot day earlier this week. It was the best iced coffee beverage that I’ve had, maybe ever. A lot of times iced drinks can get watered down but this did not. My husband’s chai was also outstanding. The whole place has a cozy cool vibe that makes you want to stay a while with a book.

First time in. I had coffee. I wasn't impressed with the coffee, but I'm going to go again to try their nachos. Those looked good!! 👍 And if it's nachos I'll try em anywhere! Who could wreck a good nachos? I've never had a bad one. They have a cute dining area and a book nook in the back. I like the atmosphere and they work with the Northland college with composting. Really good coffee. A little slow on the service but it was busy. I had a dark chocolate mocha and thought it was great. Quite the lively discussion happening at one of the tables. Overheard a man say "we don't need any outsiders" which was interesting. Not going to knock them for the idiots that walk in their door though.

This is what every local coffee house should aspire to be - chill, a little funky, clean, friendly and have great coffee/food. Black Cat does it all very well. They partner with Ashland Baking Co for their pastry case, plus one of the best slices of quiche I've ever had, heated to perfection! We'll definitely make this our coffee stop in Ashland!

Really interesting spot!! Great vibe, cool old building, inclusive options for various dietary needs and restrictions, fantastic coffee and food, and there was REALLY good live music when I was there!
Only negative is the staff wasn't very welcoming or communicative while I was there, but it was the last hour so maybe it'd been a long day, can't really fault them much for that.

I go here every day when I am up in this area. It's always consistent and delicious. Everyone who works there is super friendly, especially Mia, she is super sweet.

I had the Mayan Mocha (with cayenne and cinnamon) and my wife had the thai cold brew and both were superb.

For food we had the bc burrito and the spinach feta quiche. Both were clearly made in house and were very good.

Will definitely be back to try more things in the following days.

Lavender latte doesn’t disappoint and the prices are very reasonable!

A fun little coffee shop with a good variety of drinks, as well as beans, teas, merch, and local art work for sale. There's a few booths in the back, and the drinks are pretty tasty. I stop here pretty much every time I'm in town. The service is always friendly and they make good coffee, what more can you ask for?

So thankful for their high quality food that also uses local ingredients. Coffee and everything is great, atmosphere is fantastic.
