I don’t often get pastries as I’ve had too many okay but not great (and not worth it) treats.

Wowzers. The croissant with chocolate filling, almond, chocolate chips, and powdered sugar was incredible. We went back and got a second.

Definitely try a pastry when you come by.

Truly awesome coffee shop. Had I been hungry I would have tried their baked goods as they looked really delicious. Next time for sure.

Great breakfast! I usually get the Almond Croissant which I recommend. Generally not too busy. They have coffee also.

First of all opening hours are wrong on google since I know they are open friday to sunday mornings. Loved my croissant, but I was very pleased to see that they go the extra mile to provide only fully recyclable packaging. Coffee lid included! Good job!

The atmosphere is great. My mocha was wonderful. The tomato tart was delicious. My only comment is that the sandwiches are pre-made and wrapped in plastic. I don't use plastic wrap and I never have cheese, mayo, mustard or any sauce on a sandwich. I would definitely go there again!

Very cute shop, watch the step on the way in! Had the potato soup with kale. Pretty tasty, could've used maybe a but more kale but I tend to like a lot :) got the gobbler--maybe I missed it but I do wish it had said it came on a wrap. I ended up actually taking off the wrap and eating the insides. The cranberry mayo was scrumptious and the ingredients nice and fresh. Just wish it had been on bread!

Really quick fantastic service. Wish I had tried some of their baked foods. Will go back and try instead of drooling over them through the glass.

The lovely setting is only the beginning of a fantastic experience at The Nostalgic Bean. The staff are wonderful and every food and drink item I’ve had has been exceptional. I like cayenne in my mocha and they made sure to have some available and know how I like my coffee already. I have had nothing but positive things to say since they opened. Altoona is lucky to have you as part of the community.

The baked goods here are amazing - they have to be some of the best in the Chippewa valley. They also use quality beans, so their drip coffee tends to be really good.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere that they have created, but my favorite part was the baked goods! The special was a curry chicken salad on chibata bread, and it was phenomenal! I also tried a chocolate tart that was delicious! Loved the service, the food and the ambiance! I will be back!

I love this place! They have done such an outstanding job on the decor and welcoming atmosphere in this Altoona shop front. My soy latte was delicious and perfectly made and my lavender shortbread cookie divine. The baristas who helped me were so friendly, and you could tell that they really cared about the impression they were trying to make with this new coffee spot. I will definitely be visiting The Bean on many future occasions. Thanks for coming to town!
