Almost Heaven | Desserts & Coffee Shop

I went to AHD today for my first time and it was incredible! The staff was very friendly and the cases were FULL of DELICIOUS treats. I had the Caprese sandwich and it was amazing. The price is comparable to a sandwich at Panera but I would much rather spend my money at an awesome local shop. I will be visiting again.

Great service, attentive and courteous. The baked goods were decent. The cannoli surprisingly had mascarpone cheese in with the ricotta which is brave but poorly executed. Still I would frequent this place if it was closer.

The jewel in Bridgeport's crown. Quality desserts, coffee and entrees. They have cool art on the wall, a guitar you can strum and the stomps from the dance studio upstairs add to the charm. The sidewalk furniture is comfortable and there's plenty of space between you and traffic.

Had a lot of issues with order at Christmas, not delivered properly or on time. Many items very good, especially carrot cake, but cookies were dry and not that tasty , surprisingly, especially for the money, and our contact laughed at our problem with delivery and was fairly flippant and rude. We won't be reordering. Our son was to pick up on way home (11 hour trip), at Christmas, but since it was not delivered to predetermined satellite business, well in advance, he had to detour out of his way, with family, to pick up- after much ado and confusion. Not a good experience, especially their attitude.

Sweets and coffee. The chai was a bit off/over-steeped but it was refreshingly unsweetened and had nice spices. Plenty of sweet to choose from too: cinnamon buns, biscotti, cookies, cakes. I sampled most and they were nice. I'll be back.

My husband ordered me a vanilla cake with butter cream icing. He asked for it to be decorated with flowers. Upon picking the cake up he was very disappointed in the flowers they chose to decorate the cake with. It was more like small stars and instead of a birthday cake it looked like a thanksgiving cake. The hand writing was terrible on the cake. My 6 year old niece could have did a better job. The worse part is the cake was very small and over priced and it tasted TERRIBLE. The icing tasted like pure butter and the cake itself was dry and old stale tasting. Please do not waste your money on their cakes! Honestly this was our first cake and will be our last cake from this establishment. TERRIBLE!

Great coffee, love the CBD and Collogen shots options recently added for coffee. I buy their beans for coffee at home. And ALL the food is great. Can't w8 2 try the bubble waffles.
