Herkimer coffee has the best decaf around. And somehow I didn't realize until this visit - you can stop and watch them roast! Worry not, caffeine fiends. I have it on good authority that their hand selected and roasted caffeinated brew I some of the best around.

I love Herkimer. Their coffee is less expensive and higher quality than comparable coffee shops. They have a chill atmosphere, and their team is friendly and hard working.

Spacious; lots of roomy seating with close outlets; Their cappuccino is out of this world

I visited during COVID sheltering, which, to me, means that I did not order a prepared cup of coffee. My rating is for Herkimer's whole roasted beans.
If you love rich, flavorful coffee, buy their Ethiopian single origin (Yirgachaffe) beans. I know I'm partial to Ethiopians to begin with, and Herkimer's was _exactly_ what I was hoping for. At $16.25 for 12 ounces, it's certainly more expensive than Herkimer's blends, but the richness of flavor is worth every cent I paid.
I also purchased Herkimer's drip blend, which is a good coffee, I wouldn't object to being served it, but I find it to be unremarkable. When the Ethiopian beans are available, I will have no use for the drip blend. At $13 for 12 ounces, this blend compares favorably to comparable blends from micro roasters that typically cost slightly more. But... why? If you like a complex and pleasant flavor profile, just get their Ethiopian.

Dirty floor, need sweep every 2 hours and some outlet power is out of order. Need to put "out of order" signs on each one, if worry about the look sign, then create a nice sweetformal sign with 3 words =]. One employee, need hire more. Employee texting while working. But food and drink are amazing. Seats and tables are not dirty or sticky. =] Nice pictures on the walls. Restroom is nice. =] Need empty trash often, thou. I'm still coming for coffee and still reccomend for social time.

This is the best coffee in town. Went to all the other shops around area that charged way too much and pretty much served crap coffee. You can taste the quality in their coffee. Cant wait to go again, I come home twice a year and glad to find a great coffee shop. The other shops just flat out suck.

Stopped at Herkimer on a trip to Seattle, was great! I was very impressed with their coffee knowledge, my espresso was excellent and my Hario was very good as well! Prices are reasonable, although that is not a concern of mine if the coffee is worth it! Out of the eight other shops I stopped at, this one is the one that would keep me coming back. The Probat roaster and stacks of coffee in the roasting room add intense visual appeal if you are interested in more than just drinking coffee. If you are in the Seattle area, it is worth the drive to Herkimer.

Price alone is worth 5 stars. Easily the lowest priced local roastery brewing their own beans. Very happy this is my go-to local option. Great staff and ambiance.

With all of the coffee options in Seattle, Herkimer is by far my favorite. I no longer live in the Seattle area, but will drive up just to get beans. The smooth chocolaty roast is unsurpassed! Do yourself a favor and go grab a cup!
