Common Ground Coffee & Cupcakes

Cute little vibe! Super friendly people working, and I appreciated that they very politely enforced proof of vaccination. Amazing service and great quality of food. Overall great experience definitely recommend

Fast friendly service. It is always appreciated when coffee spots have energy drinks too. Caters to customers of all sorts. The chocolate vegan cupcakes are some of the best chocolate baked goods I have ever had. Very highly recommended.

One of my favorite coffee spots around. Common Ground is such an asset to the downtown. The family that owns this place are amazing, always so kind and wanting to be involved in the community. Their customer service is great. The staff here is always so fun and friendly. I love their jasmine tea and their lavender cupcakes are a must try! They also will utilize different ingredients from the Renton Farmers Market and it's so fun to see what they choose to highlight. Always will love going to this downtown Renton staple. Great place to work for an afternoon or study! Plus one of the owners has a green thumb and you're surrounded by gorgeous plants and greenery! Adore Common Ground and the staff here

Every time we come here my fiance and I are greeted with a smile. The owner is a love, and her employees have always treated us well. Today we were treated especially well. My fiance who can't have caffeine order our drink without caffeine hoping we would get a drink with decaf, we got the drink without coffee at all and to her it didnt taste right. To me it tasted fine. She went to them and asked for a frap with decaf in it. They remade it with a smile and let us keep both. I highly recommend common ground!

My fiancé and I come here all the time, and order the blended espresso frappes. Every time we always ask ourselves why did we ever spend money at Starbucks! The frappes are so creamy and delicious, the environment is warm and welcoming, and the staff are always so kind.

We were actually on our way to another well rated coffee shop and stopped here instead bc it was cold and a cupcake sounded good. What a pleasant surprise to stumble upon! The cupcake was the most amazing I've ever had, and tasted very fresh. My latte was excellent and everyone was incredibly nice. I would drive to Renton just to visit again.

Common Ground is a bright spot in a downtown that has otherwise been beaten down by the late-2000s recession. It has a fun and playful style and the younger staff are pretty perky (it helps that I know a few of the people who worked here, so I have some "common ground" with them).

This place has a more lively, playful atmosphere than the subdued Starbucks - and they have a place for children to play. This seems like a great place to come with family or friends.

The cupcakes are not my favorite; they're carefully decorated but the icing tastes a bit funny to me, and I think they're a bit overpriced. The tea I had here was A-OK though.

I support the liveliness Common Ground brings to Renton. Downtown can use more energy like this.

Great atmosphere, talented artistic cupcake Bakers and an amazing artistically designed cup of coffee, too. And just a extremely relaxed like atmosphere in a quaint little place which gives this feeling of having a cup of joe in your favorite cozy living room chair by the window or sitting at your kitchen dinette table eating coffee cake and sipping a perfectly made cup of coffee, while reading the newspaper. My favorite spot to just sit and experience a really good cup of coffee.

Amazingly moist fluffy cupcakes and delicious coffee (dark roast) which go well together. Great cozy interior with named plants :3 Service was excellent and super friendly. 😀

I don't even live in Renton anymore, but I still daydream about this place. I came once week with my friend for about 6 months before I moved. Friendly staff, great coffee, even better cupcakes, and everything is so well priced!
