The In Place

My wife and a friend and I stopped in last night we ordered two steaks and the special Seafood basket portions are very small for $26 a plate the stakes were very Bland and no seasoning added and raw in the center after they received their steaks and eat 3/4 of their meal the seafood platter arrived overcooked it was like pulling teeth to get extra tartar sauce the waitress she was around late forties was very unprofessional and very rude she also informed us that she takes care of her of the tourists better because they get better tips all in all it was food I think eating out of a trash can would have been better at least service would have been faster it was filthy in the corner of the booth we are sitting in was full of dust and food particles pushed into the corner of it with all in all said my wife and I who are locals will not be back due to the poor staff waiting on customers this waitress should be fired immediately

Hubby and I were looking for a warm place to dry off and grab a bite to eat. The In Place was perfect. Great staff and food. Had the salmon burger with fries. The fries were crispy. The salmon burger WASN'T a ground salmon patty slapped on a bun. It was a SLAB of delicious salmon on a toasted bun 😋.

Chicken Fried Steak was really good. Came for lunch. Service was good too.

Last place open to eat in town, including the two bars. Tiny towns near national parks aren't really set up for late night urbanites that don't do mornings. Waited half an hour to be seated, which lead me to believe the town has more capacity for later hours, at least in season. We tried swiping left and right on various apps to suit our respective orientations while guessing at which ones might be in the last restaurant open in town with us. We decided to move on when we realized we had an audience.

I don't even remember what I ordered. Something I didn't object to, evidently, so thumbs up maybe?

My dad and I got breakfast every day of our Forks trip here! Delicious traditional American breakfasts, a nice and friendly atmosphere, and sweet servers! My favorite meal was the smoked salmon omelette or the smoked salmon sandwich (lunch). Loved the hot chocolate too :)

We ordered a full order of biscuits and gravy and a chicken friend steak meal. Large portions on both. My only complaint was the price of the chicken friend steak meal. We would go again.

Food is good, service is slow. Expect to be here a long while before they put your order in. Only 3 tables full (including us) so they weren’t busy at the time of visiting.

The atmosphere is great, love the decor, I had the chili, it was alright, I also had the chicken fried steak with asparagus, and mashed potatos, it also came with a dinner roll, and it was better than I expected. The Asparagus was cooked perfectly, I was kind of worried that it was going to be stringy, put it wasn't. The chicken fried steak was really good , and I wasn't expecting much from it as I haven't ever had that, but was pleasantly surprised, the mashed potatoes were bussin. My server was very nice. However I was disappointed in the lack of choices on the menu, not a lot of vegetarian options, overall if you want home-cooked meal away from home, this is the place to go.

Best place in town! Friendly, fast, amazing food. We ate here two days in a row, you get large proportions at an affordable price and they knocked it out fast and hot both days

Ordered coffee and fish n chips. Looked beautiful coming out but the fish was cold and not cooked in the center. Had a very small portion of cole slaw. When I asked for a little more, I would have paid for a side of slaw as it was the main reason that I ordered the meal in the first place, I was told that they are out of cole slaw. That led me to believe that I was given the bottom of the batch and most likely given less than I would have gotten had they had backups. Don't give me less than a portion of you're out and try to pass it off. That's not cool.
