Mobjack Bay Coffee Roasters and Petite Cafe

The coffee at this place is outstanding! The pastries are as well. I have had two of the pastries and both were wonderful. I highly recommend Mobjack Bay to anyone who loves coffee and/or baked desert!

Absolute coolest coffee shop anywhere! Great historical bldg and environs! And, the coffee and food is superb! Had the best muffin ever-- pear & butterscotch-- INCREDIBLE! Ham & aged white cheddar panini with pepperoncini jam was unbelievable! My new daily office!

Great coffee shop in the heart of historic Yorktown with friendly service and a wonderful selection. They roast in house and it smells absolutely amazing. We picked up several bags of fresh roasted coffee and sampled some of the fresh brew.

The location was so cute and authentic! The café was empty when we arrived so we were able to sit upstairs by ourselves and enjoy the interior decor and view of the town. We each liked our coffees but although the blueberry scone was fine, my apple muffin was truly awful. It had the texture of a sponge and the flavor of a dirty one at that. Thankfully my husband can eat anything so he traded with me and I had his scone. I'm sure if I complained they would have been happy to accommodate me with something else, so I'm not deducting any stars! We just hate to complain unless we really need to.

By far the best roastery on the Peninsula and possibly all of Hampton Roads. Very unique place in an historic setting. Not only do they serve coffee, but also have sandwiches, pastries, and beer with indoor & outdoor seating. I make it a point to visit local coffee shops and there are places out there that focus so heavily on the vibe and the coffee is lackluster. The coffee from Mobjack is always excellent and rich in flavor!

We were on the hunt for a good cup of coffee accompanied by just a little bit of coffee shop ambience. Good coffee gets harder and harder to find so we search with great hope whenever we're exploring the area. On a whim, we decided to cruise through Yorktown on our way home from a visit to Williamsburg. We had given up on finding that elusive great cup of coffee as most places worth checking out were closed. We turned a corner and my Wife noticed a sign for Mobjack coffee roastery. After backtracking and finding the place, very well situated in historic Yorktown, we discovered a gem. Housed in an amazingly restored building that is well over 250 years old, the ambience is a beautiful blend of history, coffee culture, and people with a passion. What one is served by the staff and owners is produced onsite, from roasting to brewing with some amazing food options. The customer care is some of the best around and they're very willing to share their knowledge or just offer a warm and friendly moment to let you know they're happy to see you. It's a place that makes you plan a return visit. By the way, the coffee is absolutely some of the best you could hope for.

Had a chai latte and an earl grey cookie here. Both were amazing - they clearly make their own chai here, not garbage from a box. Huge fan, will plan to come back!

If you’re in the area please visit them, you will have no regrets. My husband and I were here a couple months ago, this place is so cozy, their panini’s were AMAZING, and the coffee *chefs kiss* we were in the area less than 24 hours and went there twice lol we bought a couple of their “bagged coffee” to take home with us, cant wait to go back.
