What's happened to Aromas? :-(
The food here has really gone downhill. I suggested that my husband order an omelette after he had been disappointed with the quality of meat in the club sandwich. The omelette was overcooked, and there was all dark meat in it. I've ordered the Thai Veggie Wrap, and had to send it back because it is skimpy on ingredients. So, basically you cannot count on the food being consistently good in quality or quantity. That is bad!
The staff are all heroes to work here. No matter how busy Aromas gets they are always polite, professional, friendly, and smiling. We appreciate them, and hope the owners do too. I will say that the other owners were "hands on." I saw them on the premises a lot, and knew who they were, and they knew me. So, if there was a problem; they were right on site.
*Sidenote: We have been coming here since 2005, and reside in Williamsburg.

Great food and coffee. It's a modest place to casually catch up with someone or to study but I probably wouldn't plan a date or anything more formal here, though.
Update: there’s a newer coffee shop here in town. It’s a beautiful space but comes no where near the quality of aromas coffee.

Where else can you stand behind period accurate actors and actresses for colonial, waiting to get coffee. If they're there on a cold Sunday morning, then you know you're in the right place. The atmosphere is a bit chaotic with everyone scrambling to get tge morning coffee but this doesn't detract from how good the service is. The staff is helpful and patient and will give you recommendations if needed. For us, I went with the smores latte and it was BOMB. We shared a lox bagel and it wasn't your standard lox. This thing has cream cheese smothering it, juicy thick tomatoes and onions. Hands down the best coffee place in merchant square.

Very crowded but was able to snag a table. I had a breakfast bowl and it was fantastic. It's a little loud and hard to hear when your order is ready.

Was a slight blip in my order but they promptly and politely fixed it. Quick service. Someone was actively cleaning tables. Plenty of staff to help attend people. Quaint establishment. Would definitely go back and recommend. Enjoyed my Irish coffee over ice, also.....the water is super cheap here it's $1.69 versus the fudge place a few doors down that's $6 lmao.

This shop was quite cute.. Typical coffee shop, with minimal dessert selection.. The cake slices looked a little extreme for my taste but my friend thought they looked perfect...The server did have to ask if they served Match, and thank God they did..

Great interaction with the manager who took our order. This is definitely a place that locals eat. The vibe is local/rustic.
My cobb salad had great quality ingredients and they were fresh. The presentation was great but the salad was not ‘ready to eat’. The meat was rolled up into a neat presentation, so I had to cut it up if I wanted it distributed on the salad. Similarly, the onions were left as large rings.
My wife’s salmon salad was nice; we thought it was a teriyaki salmon, but that must only be on the steak option. The quality of the salmon was decent for the price of the salad $9.99
Overall: Recommend

I love Aromas. The food is good and the coffee drinks are even better. The only thing negative is how loud and crowded it always is. I wish there was more seating and the music was so loud. It is very hard to have a conversation. It doesn't deter me from coming though.

Adorable bistro/cafe. Delicious food and drinks. Enjoy your food on the sidewalk in a nice day. Highly recommend.
