Aromas Coffeehouse Bakery & Cafe

Not great. It was very busy when we went and the line was disorganized and out of hand. The staff was doing their best. The parfait cups we got were odd and tasted old. Our drinks were dissatisfying. My husbands cappuccino was over steamed and mostly dry foam. My S’more latte was okay. It would’ve been impossible to ask the staff to remake our drinks considering how busy they were. I wouldn’t recommend this coffee shop based on our experience.

Fantastic place for a quick bite or just to hang out with your friends or family. Excellent food and service and staff is great. One big plus, they actually had gluten free bread; finally could have lunch with my wife and not have to settle for a salad.

I hate giving a bad review but staff needs to be educated to inform customers. We stopped by to get a coffee and I decided to grab Irish one because it was a long day and we still had another soccer game to go to. Never a girl at the register mentioned that you can’t take it to go so I just walked away without a coffee I paid for. We were in a rush so didn’t have time for a refund and obviously no time to drink any of it. And the laws are different from city to city, so please make sure your staff is aware of that.

I needed a good breakfast sandwich. This place had THE best breakfast sandwich I could ask for. Bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel (they have more options available). REAL eggs. The young lady at the front counter was so sweet and friendly. She greeted everyone as they walked in, showed where the menus were, and could answer any question without missing a beat. I'm going back.

We ate the cake too fast for a photo but it was not only beautiful but so tasteeeeeee!!! Our Mother's Day was perfect and a big thank you to the baker!!! 100%recommend

Such a wonderful place for a chill breakfast. My wife and I really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. It was a great place to have a nice breakfast date for sure. The coffee selection is great and the breakfast we had was fantastic. It was much better than going to some chain or fast food place. You get great food for a really good price

I enjoyed my visit. The place was hopping. There was a bit of a wait for the food but there were places to sit inside and out. The food was worth the wait. The honey buttered toast was a treat. The staff and service was great as well.

I had a problem with one of their properties in newport news and when I called to speak to management I was angry. The girl who answered the phone didn't make the situation any better she made it worse. Instead of focusing on the Regular customer she made it about herself.

Not only that, the owners/managers never called me back to settle the issue. It goes to show that they don't care about their regulars. I will continue telling the truth about this place till they settle things.

Two thumbs down on the coffee. We got an Americano and a latte. Both were lukewarm, which I wouldn’t have minded if it wasn’t 28F out. The americano was really bitter (read: over extracted!) and gritty. The latte was also quite bitter, but it had a syrup which helped cover the taste.

Two thumbs up on service and baked goods. Had a brownie and it was one of the best I’ve had.

Come here for baked goods but avoid the coffee. Or come on a day when they have someone who knows how to properly pull an espresso shot working lol.
