A bit pricey - two small lattes and one biscuit - $15. They have great coffee and really good hot, fresh biscuits! It was my first time having a hot biscuit with honey smothered in for breakfast. It's definitely heavy but was surprisingly good.

I wish they had more savory options like toast and bagels.

Covid-19 update: as of end of July, no dining in but they have outdoor seating.

Awesome place with great outside seating in this super cool vintage building housing other hip businesses. The interior is filled with cool old ship and sailor related items! The staff friendly and stylish. Great drinks I had a horchata berry iced latte so good! Next time I tried a cold brew can't remember exactly what but great flavors!
I walked over from my hotel on Atlantic and 19th so go get some greAt local coffee!
Def using local ingredients.

This place had the most expensive chai tea latte of any coffee shop i’ve ever been to. A chai w/ oat milk and a shot of espresso was $13 😂 what a joke. $1.50 up charge for milk substitute is ridiculous.

And the chai wasn’t even good! My wife let out an audible “ew” when she tried it. She’s ordered a ton of Chai’s and this is by far one of the worst and def most expensive.

There coffee is also over priced. Bro, it’s just coffee..

There are so many better locally owned coffee shops in the area. Save your money and go to one of those for a better experience

Excellent coffee. Excellent baristas and staff. Excellent atmosphere.

I judge a coffee shop by their cortado (or cappuccino). The cortado I had was supple, delicate, and slightly acidic. It was perfectly balanced by the proper amount of creamy steamed milk.

I didn’t buy a bag this time around, but their single origin offering was as impressive as the engaging and knowledgeable staff around it.

I hope to come back, when I’m in town again, to try their biscuits which come highly recommended by beloved family members.

✌🏼Cheers!

Lovely atmosphere, staff, drinks, and music!! The reason I gave it 4 stars is because the tacos I ordered were pretty gross (see photos). I would totally visit again but would stay away from the food haha

I meant to go to the brand new location that just opened.. but I’m still happy and satisfied. Branched out with trying the Pungo Latte with the apple flavor after a suggestion from the barista and I’m so happy I made the decision. Also grabbed a vegan wedding cake cookie and I truly wish I got more. It was so flavorful. I truly enjoy the decor and the name “Three Ships” is such a cute nod to local history. And this business is sustainability-conscious (paper cups and straws, encourages in store experience to minimize single use to go cups, etc). Seriously checks off all the boxes in my list. I’ll be back again soon!

This place brews using a la marzocco and mahlkonig grinders. They provide a spoon and sparkling water with their espresso shots. They use fruity and acidic beans in their espresso. They're a good choice for a third wave coffee place in Virginia Beach. The staff is also very friendly. Even bought some beans from them.

All that said, they lose a star because the music is way too loud and the tables are too close together. The atmosphere doesn't have a relaxing coffee shop vibe even though the interiors are very well decorated. Plus the food is way too overpriced for what it is, lacking flavor and quantity.

Overall a good choice for coffee if you're into fruity light roasted third wave stuff.

Do you like leisure mornings to relax and enjoy a good cup of coffee? The Vibe District of Virginia Beach is a local's favorite. Make Three Ships Coffee a priority located at 607 19th Street Virginia Beach, VA 23451! Enjoy their hand pies, pastries, flaky egg biscuits and fresh roasted coffee especially, steady hands coffee or a lavender almond milk latte!

Always delicious coffee and biscuits. You have to come and get a biscuit! Also, I get my whole bean coffee from here as well. Much better than Starbucks and many other beans I've purchased.

Heard a lot of good things about Three Ships and a regular visitor of VA Beach so our team from work decided to give it a go for the morning before our conference. Really bad decision that we all collectively regretted. Poor staff attitudes, "only coffee" was for sale to everyone's disappointment and the lady at the counter said it was because they were too busy for that. Welp.... That's why we came to TSC. My colleague asked for the Pop Tart, we were told it would be 30m and it did. He then brought it out without icing and told us it would take another 15m, it did. A true 1hr that will never get back in our life so it was an all around big fat waste. PS it wasn't that busy.
