what happened?!?!?! It had been a couple months since I'd been there....and go there today to treat the office since many haven't tried your place. I should have known something was up, when I go to the drive thru and begin to order a mere dozen of the regular sausage kolache - the staple item - "Oh, let me see if we have enough for a dozen." WHAT?!?!? they only had 8 left so I made up the rest with sausage and cheese (double the price). I also ordered a dozen fruit. Get to my office to share my treats since it's my birthday, open the box as I am explaining and bragging and see kolaches slighty bigger than my thumb! The fruit ones were the same - no change there. Even the sausage with cheese ones were the same as before. So what is up with these things???? I paid full price for these POPCORN kolaches?!?!? Seemed like they are owned by someone else now as well.
Needless to say, I had to quickly explain to my co-workers that THIS wasn't how they started out like. I advised them to not waste their time and money (because we are in Chesapeake). I apologized and said I'll run out to get a cake.

I have tried this place twice. I have not been impressed and I love food! If you try it for a meal you will have to purchase 3-6 things and I’m 160 with a medium appetite. They are always “sold out” of the ones you want to try! In my opinion not worth the hype but everyone has different tastes.

Went at 7 am on a Tuesday...should be prime time but they only had 4 Spinach left, no cream cheese, I couldn't even make a dozen out of the flavors I wanted. Really need to be ready for rush hour!

Thought this would be better than it was. Great concept. Kolache was tasty, but cinnamon roll not very good...
Great service at drive thru. Cashier very friendly!

I first learned about Kolache Factory last summer, but didn't have a chance to check it out until this summer when we took an impromptu overnight trip to VaBeach for my birthday. The next day, after checkfung out of our hotel, we were all hungry for some brunch and were trying to decide where to go before heading back to Williamsburg. That's when I remembered about Kolache Factory. A quick Google search for us directions and 20 minutes later when we're sitting down to tuck into a variety of warm, soft, savory and sweet goodies. The cranberry muffin was good-not-great. The peach Kolache was our less favorite item. The ranchero and ham & egg were delicious, as was the bacon, egg & cheese. The sausage, jalapeno & cheese was too spicy for my son. The cinnamon roll was huge- and delicious. All three of us enjoyed it. The coffee was acceptable, but my wife is not a coffee drinker and lamented the absence of any black hot tea. Just various, no doubt tasty, herbal teas. But she wanted something caffeinated. I strongly suggest including some English or Irish breakfast tea to your selection. All in all, a very tasty and enjoyable experience.

Went to grab some kolaches on 6-24-22 as we had family in town. The lady inside was very rude and did not seem happy that we came inside. They were out of so many items and still had 4 hours before closing time. We ordered $25 worth of stuff and I should have just thrown that money in the trash. Items were not good at all and had very little flavor or filling, if anything it was mostly bread. I have been several times and items were ok but this was ridiculous. Will absolutely not go back as it was a total waste of time, gas and money. These people need to step it up. Also I had a coupon they gave me from a prior visit for a free kolache but they would not even honor it saying it was a promotion.

I frequent here and I’m never disappointed! There is a member of the team here, a young woman with red hair, that for the life of me I can’t remember her name. She is always so pleasant and responds with “thank you love”. She always raises my spirits when I go in. The food is delicious and the service stellar. You won’t be disappointed!

Really love the Kolaches. We got 2 savory and the rest fruit and cream cheese. I personally love the cream cheese and apricot the best.

A word of caution, don't use the online ordering. We ordered an assortment of fruit and a few different egg kolache and the only pickup time available was 1:24 pm(an hour after I placed the order.) We showed up at around 1:25 and no one said a word to us when we walked in. There was someone helping the other customer that was there, and after a few minutes someone came over to help me. When I told her I was there to pick up my online order she said "Uhhh.....gimme 10 minutes." I sat down, pretty annoyed that they had a whole hour to put our order together. She then told us that they were out of a couple varieties that we ordered. Again....that shouldn't be the case because we had placed our order an HOUR ago. We waited while our order was packed and she asked if we wanted the egg kolache heated. We said yes and she put the kolache in the microwave and walked away. A few minutes later another employee brought over our fruit kolache and asked if we were waiting for something else. We told him that our other box was heating up. He looked inside a couple of microwaves and then found ours in the third....not heated. It seems the other employee put them in and didn't heat them. The whole experience really left a bad taste in our mouth. I will say, while the egg kolache were mediocre, the fruit ones are outstanding. There definitely needs to be training in place and a manager on site....or if there was a manager there needs to be a better one. Everyone seemed to be in no hurry to do anything and no one seemed to know what's going on.
