Java Surf Café & Espresso Bar

As I have been sitting here for an hour with no assurance with how much longer it will take to get our meals, only come here if you have all morning to dedicate to breakfast. They seem to prioritize doordash customers over customers that are here and have paid the gracious 18% suggested tip they place on their POS.

Ordered a $13 Cavalier Club sandwich today, asked for white bread to substitute the multigrain bread. When I got home I realized they did not make my club properly. My request was ignored, I ended up with the multigrain bread and did not receive the onions which are also advertised as part of this sandwich (love onions).
Making a club sandwich to order is to much for this diner to handle, makes you wonder whats going on in the kitchen. Did I mention that no one was in the restaurant except for two servers, one cook, and myself. I would hate to see what happens if they ever get busy and have to make two orders at the same time.
Well, after reading thru the diners reviews I noticed the owner does not reply to any comments, negative or positive. This explains that management really doesn't care about the operations or the quality control of HIS establishment. Customer satisfaction is definitly not of any concern for this business owner.
My advice, stay clear of this sinking ship, there are plenty of other diners in Virginia Beach were customer gratification is a much higher priority then JAVE SURF CAFE & ESPRESSO BAR!!

Great little boutique coffee shop with all kinds of things coffee. We had some breakfast sandwiches with some great got and cold coffee.

Awesome atmosphere so much attention to detail! Vegan and Veg menu options, and a cool place to work with nice staff.

Great place!! Friendly staff, amazing food and drinks. Awesome atmosphere. This is a local family owned business and you can actually feel that their heart and soul went into every ounce of the place!

We stopped for coffee and stayed for food. Did not disappoint. Both of our breakfasts were great and the coffee was what you would expect. The staff were kind and friendly. Would definitely go back.

Extremely disappointing after reading some of the wonderful reviews! Our food took 45 min for delivery and upon arrival was not our completed order. The oat milk was missing for our coffee as was the avocado add on that we paid for! I have attempted to call 6 times now with no answer. After spending $56 on a breakfast that was cold, soggy and incomplete, I would not suggest this place to anyone!

Great staff, great vibe in the cafe. Love the fresh food. But if your serving mimosas they shouldn't be in a plastic cup. How about a champagne glass?? Love that it's not over packed with people and comfortable
