One staffer had to ask another if he should remove the plastic from my friend's pastry before warming it up.
Her mocha had 1/2 an inch of chocolate syrup clearly visible in the bottom of the cup.
I paid $1 extra for the smallest portion of whipped cream ever dispensed. Worse it wasn't whipped cream just a super sugary foam.

Came in with a milk allergy and requested information on if the bread contains any milk. They had no information on any allergy facts about the food they were serving and did not offer any solutions. We had to call the company that supplies their bread for the information. Ordered a sandwich and it took about 25 min for a bite-sized $9 sandwich. Only get the coffee here, because anything else is not worth it.

Everyone in my family had sandwiches for lunch, and each of the five of us was delighted. Fun place to get coffee and great lunch!
Update: we returned on a weekend afternoon, and the place was slammed. I'm not put off by them being busy, but their staff seemed pretty unprepared for the volume. Since it's "seat yourself", customers have an expectation to get sandwhiches in less than an hour after seating themselves.

All day breakfast!!! What else can I say? Great coffee, latte, and sandwich.
Ordered a cup of the Sumatra coffee and it was VERY good. We also picked up a latte and it was VERY good. The sandwich was a breakfast sandwich, eggs, choice of bacon, sausage, spinach. You get to choose what type of bread as well. It was VERY good.
Just for everyone to know. The price for the breakfast sandwich DOES NOT include the meats, you will need to pay an extra $1 for that. But the overall experience was VERY good.
By the way, clean bathrooms, clean environment, and a very cozy place to be on a chilly fall day. Enjoy!

Great coffee shop - classic coffee shop vibe, decor, selection. Top notch baked goods, and they open early at 6:00 on weekdays. Customer service par excellence - especially Nate, great guy and totally customer focused. Skip Starbucks and support local.

Consistent. A key trait of any establishment. A great coffee shop in the heart of downtown with a good selection of accent foods to share with your coffee, Expresso...It is cozy inside with ample seating outside. A great place to have a good conversation. Owners take pride in their business and it shows. Stop by and give it a try...

Always good. Sandwiches satisfying, espresso beverages well done. Dogs welcome. Patio seating with umbrellas, free wifi, comfy seating options! Beer and wine available by the glass. I usually stop by on my way into or out of town.

Comfy coffeeshop with great tasting & strong espresso. Purchased some coffee beans and was impressed with their morning roast. If I lived in middleburg I would probably hang out here all the time, but even when I visit I always swing by here

This is my favorite place to study and enjoy a hot cup of coffee. The atmosphere is friendly and warm leaving you with a good feeling. Common grounds has enough background noise of coffee being made and people having nice conversation that you can easily tune it out and focus on your work, or you can take in all the sights and sounds of this wonderful little coffee shop.

Friendly and a cozy place to work and meet. Good free WiFi and outlets. The coffee beans are only average but the service is great. You can also build your own ciabatta breakfast sandwich.
