Beautiful outdoor patio and delicious chocolate croissants? What else do you need!

Nice spot to grab a breakfast bite, fast service, and quite popular watering hole.

If you’re looking for great coffee, yummy food and a cozy welcoming vibe you have just found your nirvana. Common Grounds offers rich, smooth coffee, tasty and well priced sandwiches for breakfast and lunch a cozy hangout with seating ranging from leather club chairs to a large outdoor dining patio, there’s a comfortable spot for any occasion and the friendliest atmosphere in Middleburg. Everyone is welcome and so is their (well mannered) pooch. I stopped by at lunch time and tried their Mosby (Ham and cheese) sandwich served up on fresh warm ciabatta rolls with a delicious mustard sauce. Delicious and well priced. My caramel macchiato was everything it should be, smooth rich and subtle. Do yourself a favor, stop by and sit a spell.

Super homey in here! I enjoyed my delicious rose cappuccino! The staff are very friendly and the service speedy! I'll be back!

Pathetic excuse for a tuna salad sandwich, featuring no mayonnaise, hardly any tuna, and dry bread, for which we waited twenty minutes to be ready. There is really no excuse, and we were not about to wait another 20 minutes to have this corrected. If workers here do not care or are not enthused about their jobs, then they should leave and find somewhere else or something else.

Everything I’ve tried here is spectacular. Staff is friendly and it’s super cozy inside. I could eat here every day!

Grabbed a quick bite with Elder Daughter. Delicious but small portions. Just needed to tide us over, so that was fine. Good ambiance.

Love this place! They have the best coffee smoothies and excellent baked goods and breakfast sandwiches. They usually have seating both indoors and out. It's a really warm and cute building with local art for sale. We go at least twice a week.

I come to this coffee shop in Middleburg almost every weekend during the summer.
The coffee is alright, nothing particularly special, but not bad at all.
The food though I simply can't recommend. Here's my opinion of three of the menu items I've ordered over the last few weeks.
Reuben: terribly soggy bread. Tasteless sauerkraut. Otherwise ok sandwich.
BLT (ordered and paid for extra bacon): I've attached a photo. This sandwich was pathetic. There were literally two pieces of bacon on the sandwich. That's with ordering extra bacon. I asked the server if the sandwich was made correctly, if that was "extra bacon" her answer was yes that was "extra.". I'm assuming if you order the BLT normally they just blow some of the smell of bacon over it and serve you that. I was able to ask for additional bacon, which made up for it somewhat.
Smoked Salmon Bagel: I suppose I made the mistake of assuming this place would know how to make a standard smoked salmon (Lox) bagel. They don't. The smoked salmon isn't the cold smoked salmon normally used on bagels, but instead cooked. This, of course, makes the bagel dry and doesn't taste nearly as good with the onions, capers, and cream cheese that traditionally goes on a smoked salmon bagel. I made the mistake of asking the server if they served a "smoked salmon bagel" I guess I should have clarified that I was asking about the same cold smoked salmon that every other sandwich place uses on their bagels, not the cooked kind.
To top it off the food service is terribly terribly slow, especially for such simple food. Do not come here if you are in a hurry.
There are other good places to get coffee or a sandwich in Middleburg. Don't be enticed just because this place is right off main Street. If you want a sandwich, simply go somewhere else. Parking will probably be better anyway.

Very contemporary set up , indoor and outdoor seating. Pet friendly coffee is about 4 for a large latte. Free wifi I would enjoy coming back.
