Sandy Pony Donuts & Açaí Bowls

Saturday oct 31st. 10:30am closed. No signs. Website said open through October. It's also a Saturday. We arrived Friday oct 30th evening and were looking forward to trying this place. Too bad its closed with no sign.

Edited: owner replied quickly to my review and offered GC to change my review. I'm not interested in GC. I'll change my review to 3 stars for the owners responsiveness to my criticisms. I hope to try their donuts someday.

On Google it says that the Virginia location is open when it’s not. According to owner is currently under renovation so you might want to drive into Maryland because the donuts look good.

This is a must go place to go while visiting Chincoteague Island, you will not be disappointed and no they are not cake Donuts. They're more reminisce of a light funnel cake, so scrumptious and delicious!!! Quite a unique variety to choose from, even one with bacon!! They are so light and scrumptious you might as well get six it's cheaper that way and may save you from having to run right back LOL enjoy!!

Prices Don't Match

They have not updated their signage in the window, reflecting older prices, almost a dollar lower than what they're charging. They need to update their signage.

They are NOT doing built to order during the Covid-19 pandemic, they don't tell you this until you're up at the window. There is no signage announcing this either.

Donuts were okay. A little dry and not very hot for supposedly just coming out of the fryer.

i’m a big fan of açaí bowls and this place did not disappoint. one of the best things i’ve ate this summer. also quick and polite service!

My family loves Sandy Pony Donuts!! Hot, fresh, and all sorts of flavors. My daughter and I always get the Porky Pony. Mmm, bacon!

We take our donuts and eat them on the beach!

A tremendous spot—invariably surrounded by delighted customers on their way to or from the beach.

Is it safe to eat a dozen of these donuts every day of my life?? Believe me, if I could, I would. Please open a location in New Jersey!!!
