My go-to place for coffee, brunch and lunch since it opened. Outstanding and knowledgeable staff members, they always make you feel like home. Food is a delight, not only for the palate, but also for the eyes - Culinary pieces of art!
Highly recommended!

The food is as good as any other small cville brunch place of the same price range. The wait was extremely long to get our food, and the hostess was a bit pretentious. They make you wait outside in order to be seated, even in the winter. The space is nice though and the coffe is good.

First, my husband is a UVA grad and talked about this place. I didn’t like it the first time, but decided to give it another try. This place is overpriced and pretentious, I literally found most of the menu revolting, so I ordered a la carte. My breakfast was over $20 for 2 eggs, bacon, toast, and tea. My recommendation would be to eat somewhere else until they remove the stick from their backside and put better food on the menu. I hope my husband doesn’t want to go back because I don’t want to waste the money on this place. $85 for 3 people for breakfast and it wasn’t very good. C-ville has great restaurants, this just isn’t one of them.

The eggs came out not cooked properly the first time, I ordered over easy and they were cooked hard. I was reluctant to send them back because I didn’t want anyone to get upset and spit in my food, but they are charging $2 per egg, so I feel like they should have been cooked correctly. The food quality just didn’t support the expensive price tag and the attitude that the staff seemed to have. I just flat out didn’t enjoy eating here either time, which is a shame because the building is pretty and has a nice view.

I had coffee and brunch at the Oakhurst today and it was fantastic. Naomi was so sweet and welcoming, it made our experience amazing. Thank you!

Excellent. Excellent. Excellent! Tiny little place. Very unassuming. You could drive right past it even when you're looking for it. Limited parking, but pretty easy to park in the apartment building's garage that is adjacent to it. I hear they're about to expand their space, which is awesome.

Food unquestionably good, some outdoor seating. Try this place for brunch and/or anything with the pork belly!

Absolutely loved the Oakhurst!

We stayed here for a wedding and pretty much booked up an entire building. We loved the seating area/library/common spaces on each floor where everyone was able to meet and enjoy snacks together.

The rooms are beautiful and very recently renovated. Only thing I would caution people about is that some rooms are *very* small and tough to maneuver around the bed.

Thank you so much Oakhurst!

Good food (3 stars, not amazing), TERRIBLE customer service (1 star). Training recommended as the hostess/busser/food deliverer was incredibly overwhelmed (it's the same person). A random waitress told all the guests waiting to be seated that they need to wait outside because we were standing in entrance/coffee area. It was cold and rainy!! Noone moved. This was indicative of the service received throughout. Server forgot to bring a drink until we asked again once the meal had arrived, we had to ask for water refills, and all employees seemed really rushed. All employees needed to take a deep breath and recognize that restaurants are customer centric-- and we were not a difficult table (& waited patiently even though they had no idea how long the wait would be-- We never asked or interrupted the running hostess and tried to stay out of their way). For a business that demands the customers recognize that it is a "teeny weeny"restaurant, the employees must also adjust their attitudes and expectations when working in tight quarters. We were out of town visitors and will not be returning or recommending to others.

Nice light breakfast was just what I needed. I stayed at the Inn and it was nice to be escorted down to the cafe by the friendly staff.the coffee was fantastic and the berries were fresh with ginger whipped cream. I gave then 4 stars because they were not open for dinner. That was a disappointment for a weary traveler to have to go back out to get dinner. Overall, you must try it out!

The Oakhurst Cafe is always perfect. Today's perfection was a caramel latte and earl grey to go that the barrista got just right. We've dined here as well for breakfast and lunch across several occasions, and the menu is always excellent, well-prepared, top-noth service, and in a delightfully quaint setting. They have both indoor and outdoor cafe seating, and the staff and service have been superb every time. Whether you're visiting Charlottesville or live here or are eneltertaining guests from out of town, do not miss this quintessentially Charlottesville spot.
