Loved the food so much we came back twice in one weekend! So good!

The egg cheese and bacon crescent was amazing!! They are still following very strict covid rules, no seating inside, but tables outside, no service. BUT, with that being said, still brought our food out to us, very sweet! My husband had the pancakes and said they were light, buttery and heavenly! My friend had a piece of quiche and loved it!!

Excellent, creative pastries. They are European style rather than American, so the focus is on the quality of the pastry and a balanced sweetness rather than heaps of icing. Their savory food is also very good.

If you want a particular thing or a certain type of bread, get there in the first half of the day because they often sell out!

We enjoyed breakfast at the Rose Hill location on a Sunday morning around 10am. Although there was a line outside, the kitchen and staff must run things really efficiently because the line moved quickly. We ordered through the website and enjoyed cold brews and pastries (which were brought to us almost immediately) at an outdoor table. The predicted arrival time for our hot food was around an hour but we received it within 35 minutes. I had an egg croissant with Gruyère, sauteed onions, arugula and tomato. The flavor combo was amazing, my egg was seasoned and cooked perfectly and the croissant was buttery, warm and crispy. My manfriend had salmon, cucumber and dill on a sourdough slice. He loved it as well.
There was a steady stream of patrons and orders and the staff seemed friendly, kind, helpful and patient. When I asked about an indoor restroom one of the staff walked me back to the location himself.
Working with the public on a busy breakfast shift can be super difficult, especially with all of the restrictions for COVID. These folks knocked it out of the park today and helped us begin our day with a really pleasant experience.

I've had so many delicious treats at MarieBette that I have to leave them 5 stars! From their prezzants to caneles to flourless chocolate cake to sandwiches to February's Hot Chocolate Month specials... Everything is tasty, fresh, and an absolute treat. Online ordering is fast & easy & I've always had incredible service. Definitely a Charlottesville highlight!

I just ate here for the first time and I'm definitely going back. This is one of the few places I've been where the French Toast was actually well made. Very nice.

The banana custard for the French Toast is intensely banana-flavored, so if you're not sure you'll like that ask for it on the side.

The coffee is also good. A couple of friends tried the cafe mocha, one liked it and one didn't.

The only thing I didn't love was the turkey sausage, which was a bit pale and mild for my tastes. If I have it again I'll ask for it a bit darker.

On the pricey side but everything there is delicious.

The BEST quiche I have ever had. So fluffy and light and overall just perfect! Their other bakery items that I’ve had including the croissant, almond croissant, and banana sourdough have also been amazing. A must try in Charlottesville!!

Rude staff! Sign says mask required, which we were wearing and limit Of 4 at a time. We were the only patrons in shop. We ordered and were told 5 minutes to heat our quiche. We then ordered a drink and continued to wait. After 10 minutes the guy behind the counter wanted to know what we were waiting on and told us they would bring to us outside. The tables were occupied and when we mentioned this we were told we couldn't wait inside. If they didn't want us inside should have mentioned when we ordered. Quiche was horrible runny and bland.
