Pastries were tasty. My wife and I both ordered a sausage egg and cheese, for $8.50 each. We received less than half an andouilles sausage for the additional $1.00 up charge. Albeit tasty, it was more like an expensive egg and cheese sandwich and felt very overpriced for the amount we received, when you get a giant sausage patty and lots of egg and cheese at Bodos for half the price.

MB allows 3 people max. inside at a time which made me feel really comfortable with their safety protocols. Their pastries all looked incredible which is impressive since they have everything from boules and baguettes to cupcakes and tarts. I tried the chocolate almond croissant and thought it was amazing! I'm from out of town but I'd definitely come back if I came back around.

Came here for the hot chocolate. Wasn’t too bad but wasn’t great. The staff were in a rush so it wasn’t a great experience overall.

What a great spot! Unique French bakery. Quiche crust is light and flaky. The petite kouign amann is the perfect amount of sweetness baked into croissant dough. Every once and awhile we drive almost an hour to come here. It’s worth noting they stop serving their breakfast menu at 11.

Best bakery in Charlottesville! Everything here is super delicious. Only complaint is that the employees behind the counter are super slow moving and they still haven't opened up their back room for eating in that they closed over 2 years ago. It gets very crowded and busy here on the weekend so beware!

It's one thing to enjoy a great dish, it's another for a dish to connect your mind to a favorite memory. Eating at Marie Bette reminded me of some of my favorite European vacations. The quality of ingredients and thoughtful, innovative dishes from the coffee to entree were much appreciated. A true gem in the Charlottesville area that I highly recommend for breakfast, brunch, and lunch that will not disappoint. The wait on the weekend can be extensive, but put your name in, grab a coffee and pasty, and enjoy being a creature who can appreciate these small luxuries.

My only complaint is I wish they were open for longer hours because I love this place. Breakfast sandwhich on the baguette with gruyère is our go to.

THE place to go when you are in the neighborhood. All ages flock here. Breakfast is a feast! Great coffee too. We will always stop here for a meal when we visit.

Wonderful breads and pastries. Super cute shop owned and run by really nice people. Definitely recommend the sourdough, absolutely delicious toasted with jam and butter. Follow @marleyrecs on Instagram for more Charlottesville recommendations!
