It’s easy to feel fancy here.

The food is really good. All of the baked goods are basically perfect. The guy working the counter seemed to be annoyed and wasn't very personable. I like the one on the mall better.

Arrived seventh in line before opening. But it was totally worth it! Along with the warmth of the bake house the delicious smells slap you in the face when you step in, and everything looks delicious... so come hungry. Sticky buns, pan a chocolate, and other tasty items made their way onto my bill, but somehow didn't last the full drive home! Keep up the great work team at MarieBette!

I am waiting for you guys to finish the remodeling of the seating area. Would love to spend more time with family and you guys.

There is just something magically different about the pastries here. I lived in the countryside of France for a year in grad school and this is the only place stateside that brings back those memories of hitting up the patisserie every morning on the way to the lab.

Delicious if a bit expensive. The best bakery in town especially now that HotCakes is gone. Lots of bread and rolls, treats, and their food is to die for. Good for Sunday brunch or to get bread for weeknight meals. Delicious. Highly recommend their apple pastry, but heat it up. Best baguette ever.

The baked goods are damn great, but the iced espresso drinks.. they don't mix them. If you order an iced mocha, you'll be struggling to suck mocha sauce out of a paper straw. The iced lattes also aren't mixed, leading to more of a latte macchiato, like the caramel macchiato at Starbucks. Also, paper straws.

Not taking away stars for this, as it is out of their control, but it's definitely worth mentioning. I'd advise parking on the street if you're driving stick. The parking lot has a steep hill, and it can be somewhat difficult to pull out if you try to drive gently.

Let me preface this by saying that the pastries seem to be a lot of the draw, and without them having any vegan options, I wasn't able to partake. I got the plain baguette, and it was underwhelming, overly crisp on the outside and a cold inside. While it wasn't priced the worst, my friend got a sandwich, and that along with the coffee was quite highly priced, the mocha perhaps the most underwhelming coffee I have had yet in my four years in charlottesville...for $7. Not vegan friendly, not cheap, not good.

Hands down the best bakery and one of the most consistent food and beverage options in Charlottesville. 6 stars

I had a Quiche Lorraine, very good! I had to go a Raspberry Brioche and that was amazing! Yummy
