Wow! Delicious. Great, friendly service. Husband is picky and he loved it too! We loved it so much we went two days in a row. The wedding party with us went after we recommended and they were blown away too.

Loved this place! First Cubano experience (somehow) and got fried cheese as an appetizer - both awesome! I haven’t stopped thinking about how good the iced coffee was either. Highly recommend!

I tried Guajiros for the first time today and it’s definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Charlottesville now. I got the Mom’s Platter with pulled pork and fried cheese with a side of plantains and it was so so delicious. I absolutely loved the hot sauces too and I even bought a bottle of the orange/mild sauce for myself because it was THAT good. The cafe con leche was great too and really hit the spot for a Saturday brunch.
Our server Lexi was amazing. She was so kind and was super knowledgeable on the menu when I had a question about some items. She was also super attentive and had a really positive attitude that made the meal even better.

Amazing, high quality, fresh food you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Have been here twice and have tried a lot of the items on the menu. The breakfast bowl is the go to, but the fried cheese, the coffees and the iced teas are all amazing. Great flavors, highly recommend.

My experience here started subpar the guy at the front of the house looked right past me for five minutes until someone who bussed tables asked of I'd been helped. The service was fine/good after. I had beignets and a breakfast burrito. The buritto was good but the beignets were well below good. The latte was fuel. Would I go back? Maybe. Would I recommend? Nope

The food here is FANTASTIC. I went with friends after a weekend shift at the hospital, clearly this was a great "after hospital shift" place to go (based on the amount of scrubs). We sat outside on a brisk day but it was not bad, there were heaters. My friend had a coffee and it was AMAZING, my other friend had this delicious canned tea-soda (materva) and I had a stupendous mojito. Often bartenders get too busy to craft a really well done mojito, and this was 2 standard deviations above the rest.
The food was all fantastic, but what blew me away was the appetizer the Maicitos. It was a corn/cheese dish with chicken and pineapple with lays on top. Kind of like an elote, but with chicken. The sweet from the pineapple really worked with the corn/chicken/cheese. The lays on top added salt and crunch. I also had their cuban sandwich and friend plantains. Both were also delicious. This place exceeded high expectations.

The best and most authentic place and staff in Charlottesville. Me and some girlfriends took it as a recommendation from a guy at a nearby coffee shop, and I can’t believe we’ve never been here!! It’s in the best location downtown, and right around the hotspots!! The menu was diverse, small, but had just enough to where it didn’t overwhelm you or didn’t have enough to choose from. The staff was amazing. So sweet. Recommended everything!! They only had 2 waitstaff, but you never would have known and they were so sweet about it. I will always be back at this place. Def would come even just for coffee!

Nilo provided excellent service and was willing to accommodate us and guide us through the menu(my first time). The food was absolutely delicious and so flavorful! We had the El Nacional and Huevos Guajiros. If you’re thinking about trying here, do! You won’t regret it. Thank you for such a delightful experience.

This is the best restaurant in Charlottesville. Full stop. Everything I'm here is amazing - their cafe con leché is to die for. It's owned by three brothers who are each friendlier than the last. These guys rock. The atmosphere is on point, the prices are fair, and the food is just delicious. I cannot reccomend it enough.

The food was pretty solid but not particularly great. The general ambience was fun and family friendly. Kitschy in all the right ways.
My mojo chicken sandwich was at best 4/5. No huge complaints, but it wasn't up to the standard of a restaurant with a 4.8 on google. The chicken just felt weirdly uniform, and the texture wasn't ideal. It honestly seemed like it was cut up on an industrial mandolin 8 hours ago and put into a chicken receptacle that holds chicken slices all day.
The avocado toast was much better. The flavors came together, and the dish was pretty great. Fresh avocado with a rich creamy base and some great pickled onion pucker.
I'd recommend visiting, but it's not exactly foolproof. Parking is what it is. Just walk a few minutes during the day or pay a few bucks to cross the street and get your food.
