Swing's Coffee

Some of the best espresso I've ever tasted! The atmosphere is warm and inviting with an industrial feel. You can see the actual roastery behind the espresso bar. The selection of pastries is great, but you won't find any heavy breakfast items. If you plan to sit and work, my advice is to go early as the minimal seating tends to fill up quickly!

Great coffee and lattes! Gluten free treats provided by Rise bakery. And lots of light. This is an amazing coffee shop that’s great for a meeting, work, or just a treat to recharge. It’s got a hipster vibe but with the friendliest staff.
The only thing that could make it better would be some outdoor seating. There are benches, but a couple tables would be supreme.

The breakfast selections were a bit sparse at 11 in the morning. I ordered the cheddar and ham scone...thought it was so-so and certainly not freshly made in the morning.
But it apparently sells good coffee and my diplomat friend who's about to leave for Lima, wanted to take some with her to tide over her first week.

Coffee - very good coffee from a fine coffee roaster. They also have a few light pastries. Stop in for quick cup and take home a few bags of fresh roasted beans. Consistently excellent!

We decided to visit after reading about this location on Jameson Taillon's coffee blog. I'm so glad we did! This is the perfect place to start sampling gourmet coffees and new brewing techniques. The staff are friendly and informative. We do wish there had been more available seating when we visited, but the quality of the coffee more than made up for that.

Their whole beans are great for making nice at home pour overs and are a fair price.

Swing's Coffee Roasters is one of the best coffee joints in the DC area.

This shop is fully equipped with fast wifi, plenty of seating, and a knowledgeable cadre of staff. Their pour over selection regularly rotates and always boasts several good roasts. Swing's roasts all of their own coffee in house. The selection of their bagged coffee rotates along with their pour over selection. I definitely recommend giving Swing's a try.

Super cool digs. Old warehouse where all the roasting happens and a huge communal area with tables and chairs. Big windows to see inside the operations and some cool coffee stuff placed strategically. Huge old scale, sacks of beans in big stacks, etc... Great for a lazy Sunday. The nitro was phenomenal. Flavor the likes of which I can’t say I have experienced with other nitros.

Fantastic coffee roaster. We really like all their single origin coffees. We usually pick up two bags each time we go and they have never disappointed. Their flavor descriptions on the bags are spot on. Don’t forget to sign up for their rewards club so you can work towards a free bag of coffee!!!
