Swing's Coffee

Very good coffee. But not enough seating to sit and enjoy because non-paying “customers” (squatters) are sitting around on the store’s free Wifi. The store manager is also unwilling to remove the squatters. At least the barista was nice enough to remake my drink to go. tip: take your order to go.

Just a block from the White House, this historic coffee shop offers a wide variety of coffees with a unique atmosphere. Established in 1916, Swing coffee has been serving White House staff and dignitaries for over a century. Today, the modern interior is decorated with a few coffee relics and wooden cabinets holding bulk beans from across the world.
The espresso drinks are consistent and always decorated with beautiful art by one of the skilled baristas. However, my personal favorite, one of the three seasonal pour-overs on rotation throughout the year.

I moved here recently, and this is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to work on days off. The coffee is spectacular (way better than anything else I've found in the area), there's a good selection of baked goods, the staff are very friendly, and there is a decent amount of space/seating. My only complaint is that there isn't super easy parking nearby.

Swing's was the best coffee shop I found while staying in Alexandria. I enjoyed the Four Mile roast. This place knows how to do coffee right; I had an excellent cappuccino and macchiato. They had a unique pour-over system which I didn't get a chance to try but looked interesting.

They Roast their own coffee, very unique. Awesome blends, prepared to go as well. If you are looking for serious roasters - get some ☕

Swings is the best coffee shop in the area -- order online and it's super convenient! Luckily I live too far away or I would be there every day :)

Great coffee shops with excellent coffee both in store and beans. I would recommend the biscuits. Very clean restrooms and plenty of parking. It is also directly across from the park and dog park. Overall a great place if you need to knock out an hours worth of work or to meet someone to catch up.

The only reason I give this a 3 (I wish they did half stars so I could give a 3.5) is the serious lack of electric for phones, tablets, or laptops. Only 2 or 3 seats in the restaurant have access to it so it could be a major drawback.

I think the food and ambiance of this coffee house definitely deserves 5 stars, The coffee is great and you really get a lot more flavor out of it than you would from say Starbucks. However what kills me with this place is the hours, Due to it being open from 7-4 Monday-Friday, I can rarely get coffee from this place. It's not open when I leave for work, and It's closed for the day by the time I get back. Really the only time I can go to this location is on my weekend. But I enjoy the hell out of that coffee on the weekend.

Side Note; The gluten free pastries, which is all they carry, while they taste good definitely have a different texture. I would prefer it if they didn't opt for these.

Great coffee and atmosphere! Only downside is the extra $1 charge for alternative milk (they only offer oat milk, soy milk, or macadamia milk) if you like lattes and cannot do regular milk. This place tends to be pretty busy in the morning, so it is a little tough to find a table consistently.

Customer Service that surpasses Excellence! Ordered bags of coffee and all types were in stock and ready when I picked them up. Try this coffee! It's great even when it has been sitting in your cup for several hours and is Luke warm or cold. It's never bitter!I don't drink other coffee unless it's given to me. I have bought bags for friends and told them to give it back to me if they didn't like it. I haven't got one bag back yet :)
