Capitol Grounds Cafe

It's been remodeled since I was here last Summer and that appears to be a functional improvement. Noticed fewer staff and seemingly less knowledgeable or perhaps experienced? Great 802 coffee but my chocolate chip cookie was over baked.
Vermont just can't seem to solve the worker shortage issue. I think local and state wide government agencies need to work closely with the business owners and operators to effectively solve the employee shortage issue NOW!

I'm in town for work for a few days I
saw the reviews of Captain ground's cage I went in this morning spoke to the young lady and asked her do I have to be seated to get waited on she told me yes I sat down I did not get any service I was very unhappy I was in here for about 15 minutes thanks for making me feel welcome

I had a maple latte and almond croissant, and both were delicious. I tasted the chocolate croissant and raspberry cream croissants and those were pretty good. Busy little place. Just what I needed for a quick pick me up in the morning.

Great little coffee shop on Montpelier with a nice selection of hot & iced coffee drinks. Smoothies & baked items are also on the menu. The staff is super friendly and always greeting everyone with a smile & upbeat attitude.

Very quick service, but not rushed, friendly.

My favorite coffeeshop EVER. Best breakfast sandwiches and lemonade I've ever had. Service is wonderful. Once I ordered food from them and then got held up at work and wasn't able to pick it up for more than an hour, but they kept it warm for me and were so polite when I came to pick it up. They also make their own amazing coffee blends. The ambience is wonderful, I used to spend time here every day after high school. A+!

The ABC might just be the best sandwich I've ever had.

The croque monsieur is very tasty - actually the seasoning is very special. Good coffee and friendly staff. Glad to stop by during a road trip.
