Honestly hands down some of the best vegan food in Burlington & very affordable. It really has that food truck like vibe. In a great location, awesome staff & like I said amazing food, shakes & drinks!

Great food and good vegan twists on classics. The space is warm and welcoming with plenty of parking and seats both inside and out. CBD infused drinks are available to purchase. Make sure to try a doughnut.

Excellent! You can't ask for a better place to have such an amazing vegan menu! Dining in or taking out, both are enjoyable experiences while the seating inside and outside are fantastic and packaged food for take out is pretty well done. If you can't find a place to meet your appetite in Burlington and want quality food without spending too much money, this is the place to go.

Quality vegan cafe with lots of tasty menu options. Pingala does it right! Great location just on the outskirts of Burlington, VT. I always try ordering something new when I go there and I've yet to be disappointed. They have a must try French Toast on the menu, so good! And their Carrot Dog is super unique and delicious. Always a good atop too if you're just looking for a good place to bring the laptop and get some work done, while grab a chai, cup-a-joe, and a glazed donut. Did I mention great staff too?!

I enjoyed a nice quiet plant-based breakfast along the river at Pingala Cafe. It is an out of the way place with a small menu, counter service, and absolutely delicious food and coffee! I tried the ranchero, a large serving of tofu, kale, and beans on corn tortillas, along with their vegan pumpkin bread, all tasted fresh and flavorful! And the service is top notch- friendly and quick! I'll be coming here again next time I visit Burlington!

Friendly staff, fun and casual atmosphere, all vegan menu. However, I've been disappointed with the food. Their grilled cheese sandwich wasn't grilled and used liquid cheese. A very tasty liquid cheese, but not what I was expecting. Same with the Reuben sandwich. I've had vegan Reubens at several restaurants across the country, but nothing like this. A non-vegan Reuben is sliced corned beef, saurkraut, dressing, and Swiss cheese on rye. Pingala's version is a tempeh patty, no saurkraut, no cheese, mayo rather than dressing, wheat bread rather than rye... and then they add kale and carrots, for some reason. Not really a Reuben and, for more than ten dollars, I would have hoped it might come with fries. I LOVE their nachos, but after eating the top layer, you're left with a lot of plain tortilla chips.

I really want to love Pingala. Like I said, it's got friendly staff and a great atmosphere. But the menu is a bit pricey for rather small sandwiches that don't resemble their names.

Pingala is a perfect afternoon vegan lunch right in downtown Winooski. Sit outside by the Onion River or sit inside their wonderfully decorated eatery. The food is served on repurposed street signs and is always made efficiently! They also carry impossible burgers which my son was very happy about because most places in the area have beyond which he does not like as much. Incredibly happy to have this vegan stop right outside Burly!

Best place ever. We travel a lot and this is our favorite vegan spot for sure!

This place kinda has it all. I'm not vegan, but my partner is, so as you can imagine there are few places we can go that have a lot of appealing choices for both of us. Also, I'm a conscientious eater, and we're both total food snobs.
I really enjoy this place. The food is outstanding by any standard: the sweet dishes and pastries are particularly good. It's a small space, but it feels more cozy than cramped. The counter seats (in the picture) look out over the Winooski River. The decor is muted, unobtrusive funky, but the interior of the place is spotless. These folks seem to really enjoy what they are doing, and to take a lot pride in it, and I like that. And to top it all off, because it's at the Chase Mill, a cool historic building its own right, it even has something rare in this town: easy, free parking! It's quiet enough to have a conversation, but they are also very accommodating to families and groups.
