Finally visited here this week and extremely happy I came to try it out. I had the crunch wrap and nachos which all were Soo very flavorful and well done. The employees were amazing and made sure I stayed with everything I needed. I will be back for sure.

I've been coming here for about 5 years, it's typically my go-to spot whenever I visit Burlington. No matter how hard I try to love this place, I simply can't rate them 5-stars. I've never had a truly excellent meal here. So unfortunately, I can only critique the food as "good", not great (typically ranging from 2-star to 4-star - never 5-star). Considering it's Burlington's premier all-vegan restaurant, it simply can't hold up to other vegan restaurants I frequent such as Veggie Grill in Cambridge MA or Plant Pub in Boston for example, which are true 5-star establishments.
My main complaint is the general lack of flavor - the descriptions on the menu do not live up to the hype at all. Everything I order is just so bland and, honestly, a bit disappointing. I tried the Rooster Wrap recently, and it was the most flavorless sandwich I've ever had. How could you go wrong with Maple Sriracha Tofu? When you don't use nearly enough sauce I guess. The tofu had almost 0 flavor. I might as well have been eating a lettuce sandwich. I also tried their Burger Crunchwrap, and I found the housemade beet patty very dry, and the "spicy" aioli dipping sauce just tasted like mild sour cream. Their shakes/smoothies are pretty good, and I enjoy the baked goods quite a bit too. It's typically only the lunch dishes which I consistently find underwhelming
In all honesty, they probably don't even deserve 4 stars, but I'm being generous and I still like to support the vegan scene even if the food isn't the quality I would expect compared to what I'm used to in Massachusetts, or even Southern NH (Troy's Fresh Kitchen is a MUST try). Maybe if you keep your expectations low, and don't go in expecting to have your mind blown, Pingala will satisfy you just fine

Easily my favorite Vegan spot in Vermont. Everything is super delicious, it’s so hard to choose what to get! Their avocado toast and every sandwich is beyond incredible and super affordable! Also a great spot to view the water and post up all day to work or read

Incredible lunch. The staff we're friendly, food was prompt and absolutely delicious. I don't think you need to be a vegan to understand that pingala is something g special. Highly recommend! Doubly so because portions were large and prices weren't!

Listen up, people! You NEED to stop here! Your mouths and tummies will praise you! I've been coming here for three years, and every time I end up spending waaay more money than I'd anticipated, because the food is SO GOOD! I literally end up making two (or three) orders just to have some of everything! I recently tried the kale salad for the first time and WOW!! My two all-time favourite sandwiches are the Cali Club and ELT. I am by no means a sandwich person, but Pingala's eggplant "bacon", is honestly life changing. Get yourself some, because it will change everything you thought you knew about plant powered "meat" equivalents.

Some people love it. The Buddha bowl was great. But the felafel wrap was so dry and tasteless. Crunchy taco wrap was okay. Eat here to be healthy and enjoy the cool ambience. Food is average for omnivores.

Oh my goodness, I love this place! Very healthy eats and smoothies. Fantastic staff! Right on the river so it's nice to get take out and hang out by the water.

Been going here for years! Love the good, atmosphere, and people! A great vegan spot for sure.

Another Burlington cafe place, just like all of the others. Surprised so many people think this is tasty.
They are all the same kind of translated 'hippie' flavor.
Appreciate the fact that this one is vegan, that's nice. But there really isn't anything unique about this place, despite the body odor of some of the staff.
They also spell Bánh mì incorrectly, by spelling it Bhan Mi. Really bothers me.
Worth trying out, but not as special as the hype leads one to believe.

Grew up vegan/vegetarian and unfortunately this does not come close to "good vegan food". The French toast was more like french balls - very hard and dry, not too much flavor. Also would've been nice to know that we were getting BALLS vs TOAST. The granola was subpar and didn't have fresh fruit like advertised - just a bowl of granola. They also forgot an order and brought it out late, but made up for it with some salty cookies(lol). Unfortunate long wait but - sorry - not worth it.
