I love Athena! The atmosphere of it is welcoming and relaxing with an attentive staff that wants to work there. The food is delicious, (I’m eating their scrumptious tortilla soup right now) and their hot chocolate is even delicious cold. Definitely my coffee place of choice.

Nice staff. Cool space. Great breakfast sandwich! Great lattes! Delicious peanut butter smoothie!
But the southwestern breakfast today was not good. I knew I should have gotten another smoothie..

I am such a big fan of Athena Bean. Great coffee and excellent service. What I love most though is the variety of the environment. Want to tuck away in a corner? They have several spots to do that. Want to host a big breakfast meeting for 50 people? They have that upstairs. Want to host a half day meeting with your team at work and saddle up at a big table and collaborate? They have that too!
Today I brought my work team in at breakfast, they opened a tab for me and left it open through lunch. We were able to keep the breakfast, snacks, coffee, and water flowing. We finished with a delicious lunch, collaborated for another hour and finished. It worked so incredibly well I’m going to start doing it on the regular. I just love this place!
I don’t recall the girls name that helped us but she was AMAZING! She took such great care of us. She had short hair and glasses and should be employee of the month.

Very friendly staff, spent a good while talking with them and had a wonderful time. Everyone was willing to look at the ingredients to see if there was anything that could be substituted for Gluten free or if it was gluten free to maintain a safe health. Gave a good warning about any potential cross contamination! Really good coffee and overall atmosphere and I will definitely be telling local friends about this place.

We ordered 2 iced coffees and two ham sandwiches. The coffee was borderline undrinkable. First issue, she frothed the milk for iced coffee. Second issue, it tasted entirely of milk and not coffee. Third issue I ordered a vanilla and hazelnut latte, which tasted sour and undrinkable. I suppose that’s what happens when someone who doesn’t know how to make coffee makes coffee. The ham sandwiches were disgusting. Tasted like nothing and were clearly cheap lunch meet from the nearest grocery. Grand total: $40. Avoid this hell hole.

Absolutely incredible, went to an open mic comedy/music night with some amazing talent and just inspiring emotions all around.

The coffee is pretty good, but the overall atmosphere of Athena is somewhat lackluster. I’m not sure what kind of vibe they’re going for, it seems all over the place. Is it supposed to be a library aesthetic? A workspace? A restaurant? The furniture, flooring, and wall color is outdated. The wall art doesn’t seem to relate to the books on display (or for sale?). There’s a ton of stuff at the front counter for sale that make the area feel small and cluttered. There are huge ugly booths which give me the impression that the building used to be a full restaurant. Seems like a waste of space that could be filled with smaller tables, or a small stage for events. I know they have an upstairs event space but the main floor is huge and could accommodate something like that.
I usually enjoy my experience there, but it’s forgettable. There’s nothing drawing me back. If a business doesn’t care about interior design, then the product has to be out of this world amazing. And the food and the coffee is decent at best, so not having an intentional and inviting atmosphere only hurts Athena. If I had a remote job, I’d probably go here to work though because it’s so quiet.

Most wonderful coffee shop. Coolest aesthetic, sublime coffee. I’ve been a devoted attendee of their Monday night open mic since December, it has honestly helped me through some very tough times. The community is very accepting, the baristas are so sweet, and owner Mark is the kindest soul. Also, one of the only places that do pour overs I’ve found in the valley. Highly recommend ❤️ -an artist

A nice coffee shop that is spread out beautifully and is quite accommodating with good parking and accessibility. The coffee is good and there is a decent amount of freshly prepared sandwiches and toasts available.
