3rd time was still... not the charm. Weakest stuff ive ever had. Kurig can do this better. I paid 10 bucks for hot water and i ordered the darkest drip. Yikes.

Winderful experience! Pastries were fresh, coffee was delicious! Vibe was contemporary ;) loved it!

Great atmosphere, very friendly staff, only classical music - a great place to work!

Great coffee and outstanding dessert/bakery items. Pleasant atmosphere. Thank you Coffee Garden for the explanation of why there is no WiFi. Totally understand. It's a shame that some customers can't respect a good thing when they have it. I have restored your well-deserved 5-star rating. Your shop is an oasis of delight for the neighborhood.

Great coffee, nice atmosphere. Always been my favorite place to hang out.
3 stars because they got rid of the wifi and have one of those pretentious signs saying to talk to each other like it the 50's. Came here to do homework.

One of my favorite spots! The first time I came years ago, the barista said "welcome to the neighborhood living room!" and I think that vibe is apparent. Always delicious coffee and fabulous pastries. Was recently really disheartened by the smoking, however. Signage says "no smoking in building or within 25 feet". I asked the people working about this, as several folks were smoking within a couple feet of the building right on the patio, and they responded "eh, as long as it's not in the doorway it's fine." As an oncology nurse and SLC resident, air pollution is something I'm passionate about. I know it's rough to ask workers to enforce these sorts of rules, but maybe some better policies and signage would help keep the "neighborhood living room" a healthy place for everyone to gather.

This morning I was so impressed by the service that the platinum haired woman at the counter provided to a couple of younger folks (possibly teenagers, hard for me to discern anymore). They had multiple questions each about what to order and she was just so kind in answering them without rushing (despite the growing line). I started going to the coffee garden as a teenager and it was a safe and welcoming place for me then. I live in a different neighborhood now and only occasionally visit, but it made me happy to see such a simple, but lovely act of customer service.
Also- their scones with the coconut are amazing!

Cute cafe in beautiful neighborhood. NOT the best place for remote workers or students.
Coffee Garden has had issues with people abusing their internet or engaging in other inappropriate behaviors regarding working from a coffee shop (e.g., staying long hours without buying product from the coffee shop, fighting over table spaces to work, and downloading illegal content). It makes sense to me that they do not want to support this type of customer. When I missed the sign because I didn't have my glasses on (the text is about 18 font and only posted by the cashier rather so i wasnt close enough to read it until i was already placing my order) the employee kindly suggested the different places I could get free wifi. I realized i missed the sign because i couldnt read it which was my fault and I decided to stay because I have a hot spot for when public WiFi is not available.
The issue that arose for me was the way I saw the owner handling comments from people who wanted to use the internet but then learned it wasn't available. Instead of a template reply that said the store no longer provides wifi because it was abused and they want a socializing versus working environment for their shop, the owner replied to people's comment with replies like "sorry you didn't read the signs" and "free wifi is dead", in addition to their sign that said "talk to each other. Pretend it's 1995".
The majority of coffee shops in the area offer WiFi especially with the number of remote workers that are around since covid. Half of the people I saw come in after me were remote workers, many of which also missed the sign about wifi. Instead of making it apparent that their goal is not a place to work but to socialize (and thus to decide to advertise as such similar to cafes like the Rose Establishment) they have instead decided to put it solely on the customer as not reading the signs that are hard for people to get close enough to read before they place an order.
I have a feeling that I'm going to get a similar response from the owner which is fine. My goal is to provide other customers who are wanting a place to work on a laptop and who may not be able to read their sign due to visual impairments. Despite the owners responses, sometimes people miss signs because they are unexpected, poorly placed or are unreadable, not just because they "choose" to not read the signs.

I wish I could give it 8 stars!! This is my go to coffee spot. Catch me there in my free time. There's always a line, but that's a good thing! Tells you the community they serve. They are fast and efficient, but never skip out on having a quick chat. Not enough good things to say, but I'm getting ranty .

The iced latte I got was delicious. It was super smooth and not overly strong or to milky! Great ice ratio as well. I also got a deli sandwich with balsamic dressing. It was very fresh and delicious!
