Other nearby establishments had too long of a wait.
We ended up at Provisions and this is now one of our fav spots for brunch.
Staff, and decor are on point. Cocktails were well crafted & delish.
Chicken & waffles, French toast, salad and the Bimb….(spelling) were all AMAZING!!!
MUST, MUST, MUST give this place a try and it will be your fav as well.

Dang, the food was extremely fresh and the plates are limited. The coconut cooler was tart and paired well with the small and large plates. The pork steamed buns were a great start and got you salivating more for your main course. The seafood chowder was scrumptious and not at all overbearing with all the seafood in it. The apple crisp was decadent and the pistachio crumbles on top made it complete. Highly recommend the food, and brushing up on your fancy food names.

The service was incredible, they truly make you feel as welcome as a missionary at the SLC airport. And the kitchen kills it, they went above and beyond to make our night absolutely perfect, we can’t wait to go back and maybe give Shyla a big hug and feel more of the love.

This place was phenomenal. I went on a Saturday during brunch not knowing reservations were preferred. I was seated in less than 10 minutes. Our whole experience was amazing.

Never fails to meet my expectations and then some. This restaurant is a staple and there’s never been a menu selection that wasn’t unique and incredible! What ever they’re paying the chef, it’s not enough

My wife and I dined at Provisions on July 14, 2018. It was an overall great experience that fully merited 5 stars; some details are below.
- Wait staff was uniformly well-informed, pleasant, and good at their jobs.
- Provisions is tapas-style dining; you probably want 2-3 small plates per person, or 1 large plate and 1 small plate. My wife and I split 3 small plates and 1 large and it was just about perfect.
- The wine list was surprisingly decent for Utah. Restaurants here suffer a bit under the DABC encumbrances.
- A lot of the menu items are seasonal.
- Not terribly busy on a Saturday night.
We had the grilled peaches, duck rolls, calamari, and rabbit pappardelle, with the chocolate cake for dessert.
The grilled peaches were the stand-out surprise (see the first photo). This is one of those dishes that, on paper, has no right at all to work, but it was absolutely delicious. Think of a caprese salad, but substitute the tomatoes out for peaches and use much higher quality cheese. I would order this dish again in a heartbeat.
The duck rolls were good, but the duck was a hint dry. In fairness, it's nigh-impossible to get duck perfect, and this is a very minor complaint for what was an otherwise very enjoyable dish.
The calamari was breaded-and-fried with a thai chili pepper spice blend and a sesame hot sauce. I enjoyed it, though the spiciness could have used a little bit of something to offset it.
The rabbit pappardelle was, along with the peaches, the stand-out dish of the evening. Pasta was clearly home-rolled and delicious, and the rabbit was juicy while still retaining its gamey taste - no small feat considering how easy it is to overdo rabbit. Those that dislike gamey foods probably won't like this, but it was almost perfectly balanced.
The chocolate cake was rich, though the method they use to melt the chocolate will leave a bit of a char taste. If you don't like that (it's what you get with a slightly burnt S'Mores or overdone creme brulee), you might want to avoid this dish.
Pacing throughout the course of the meal was excellent; we spent about 2 hours dining and never experienced a gap of more than 5 minutes between plates and never had overlapping courses. As mentioned, the wait staff know what they're doing.
Parking is somewhat limited.
I'd come here again in a heartbeat. I'm not a big fan of the downtown restaurants, but a lot of the places in the suburbs have not really kept an eye to quality (La Caille, for example). I do appreciate places that rotate the menu each season , so I'm looking forward to coming back.

This was an unsuspecting little restaurant buried in Salt Lake. The food here was fresh and fun. I had braised pork shoulder with polenta and Brussel sprouts. It's fun to taste each individual element and each one is unique and powerful. Then to put them together in one complete composed bite is nothing short of magical. The flavors dance in your mouth. I loved eating here.

Provisions is easily one of my favorite restaurants in the Salt Lake area. They keep a rotating seasonal menu, so you know the ingredients are always fresh. I like to get the small plates and share, and am always impressed by the innovative flavor combinations on the menu. I would pick a favorite, but there are so many!

The food is good but cooked with a high level of gourmet seasonings and dishes most people aren't used to. The atmosphere is old and needs updating . It's very expensive as well but good to try it out once

What an incredible incredible restaurant for the SLC scene! Provisions reminds me of Northern Cali cuisine with an East Asian influence. I cannot say enough good things about Seth, our waiter. Having made reservations to advise the restaurant in advance of my 3 dietary restrictions, Seth was ready for us, had reviewed the menu, and was prepared to tell me what I could order before we arrived!!! For reference, I have Celiac disease, lactose and legume intolerance. I feel confident that I ate safely and that Seth was watching out for me. We enjoyed sitting with our friends for nearly 3 hours without any frustration from Provisions; thank you! Also, the wine list is very adventurous!!
