Great Frito Pie and it was ample for one adult! Steak finger basket w gravy and fries delicious. No frills looking place but clean and friendly service. Highly recommend and they seem to go out of their way to cook and serve with high quality comfort food. Bar-b-que is great! Chicken Santa Fe sandwich really good also. Highly recommend!

This place used to be our favorite spot to eat breakfast; however, the last two trips have been awful. Both times we waited at our table over 10 minutes, and were ignored and finally just left.

Service here has really went downhill since the older waitress left. There is also no management of the restaurant or employees. Hopefully changes occur because this used to be a great local place to eat.

Replying to the owner's reply- No need for you to get personal. Service here has always been great until recently, now there seems a don't care attitude. Looks like this is flowed down from ownership. Sad.

Worst place I've ate in a long time never will go back.. silverware very dirty... Eggs not cooked enough.. Bacon was old and cold... Toast was so hard I couldn't eat it either... I really wasted my time n money at this place😡... Complained n still had to pay for food we couldn't and didn't eat!!!

The women that run this place are very friendly and courteous. The whole staff is. The place is clean and food is home cooking. Always good, hot ,fresh and made to order. You can dine in or take out. Never disappointed with this place. I would give it more stars but only had 5..

Catfish plate was on point! Everything tasted homemade. Super-friendly staff. Will definitely be back next time im in WF

We ordered a bacon omelet with hone fries. The omelet was small and the potatoes were salted so much they couldn't be eaten. I ordered a 4 piece steak finger basket with very well done fries. The steak fingers were tasteless and after sending back the fries because they were limp. They came back nuked and still horrible. My husband ate a double meat burger and tasted like it was cooked ahead of time and placed in some kinda juice. The potatoe chips were pretty. Not pleased at all.

Don’t stop in 30 minutes before they close. From the kitchen, oh my god 30 minutes left. I got up and walked out.

Exactly what you would expect from a place called Highway Cafe. Fast, friendly waitstaff and hot food from the griddle. Basic breakfast cafe food that is a good price, comes to you hot and tastes good. Nothing fancy but that's ok and part of the charm of the place.
