I am not a huge fan of the coffee from BRU, but their scones are AMAZING. Best scones in Waco!

I am in a new city so just checking things out. This was a typical American espresso bar. Everything is flavored and alright. It was locally roasted coffee though so that was the redeeming quality.

Great London fog and i loved the atmosphere

This place has some good coffee! I especially love their Breve. They also sell some cute stuff there if you are interested in designing, or scrapbooking, or if you are looking for cute gifts.

Often in college towns there are food/coffee establishments that gain a following not based on quality, but based on the “cool factor”. BRU is just that. “Cool” hip little building, “cool” olde time espresso machine, “cool” branding, MEH COFFEE...
The environment is a quaint rustic revitalized building that I would expect only to find in Waco. But the coffee was painfully unimpressive. The cappuccino texture and taste was sloppy at best. I much prefer a more skilled roast and brew at other local establishments. Roasting beans WELL is a science. Just because you open up a coffee establishment doesn’t mean you should roast your own beans. This is holding them back, IMO.
If you’re a college student who just wants a caffeine kick with a place to study, then I’m sure this is a fine establishment for you. If you like to visit specialty coffee shops around the state, this will be a letdown.

Such a unique idea! Great coffee, friendly staff, and the live music Friday night's is a fun touch. I'll definitely be returning often

Good espresso and friendly staff.

Good coffee and good service. Kind of an awkward little space for a coffee shop.

Hands down best coffee in Waco. Roasted on site in a vintage roaster, coffee shop set inside an antique elevator. Just the right amount of class and chill! Well done, Bru team!

They roast their own coffee! Doesn't get fresher than that. Good people good coffee. Plus it sits in an old elevator in an old historical building. That's just cool.
