Alpha Omega Grill & Bakery

Ambience was okay. A bit dim for my taste. The gyro was okay. The meat was a bit dry and hard to chew. The Greek Feta Fries were amazing. It's hard to find at that time of night.

Update: I was just there for lunch. Had the same thing I had before. It was wonderful. Fast and delicious. I should go there for take-out from time to time.

The Lamb Gyro was really good. Might have been the best pita I've had too. The pita was incredibly soft with a perfect crunch. The Baklava however wasn't the greatest as it was a tad over cooked which made it almost impossible to get a clean bite and lacked rose water.

Had the salmon plate with broccoli and rice. Tasted good, but everything was cold.

The food was excellent and the staff friendly. It's a casual dining establishment with clean facilities. We had the chicken gyro, the souvlaki plate, and the grilled chicken thighs with rice, grilled veggies, and broccoli. It was all very flavorful and delicious! With the note the rice was very wet, mushy, and flavorless (tried a bite and cut our losses on the rice). We ordered two additional pita bread but instead of being served whole they were cut into strips. This rendered them useless to make our own gyros from the plates ordered. We also had the white chocolate strawberry cake and baklava for deserts. Again very delicious!

Limited drink options as far as less sugar/ healthier side of spectrum.

My husband and I just went to a Greek restaurant in a major city. It had NOTHING on Alpha Omega. We used to go all the time in college and we miss it! If you haven’t been to Alpha Omega, go!!!

I came in from Houston for the ironman event and stopped here for lunch on Wednesday. I ordered the beef tenderloin plate, and it was just okay. The pita bread was delicious. Overall the staff was friendly, and the bathrooms were clean, which is a plus.

Such great food. Everything we had was flavorful and balanced. The lamb gyro was our favorite. Price point is perfect and it’s great place for everyone to enjoy. I highly recommend eating here if your in Waco.

Wonderful fresh food. Friendly service, we ordered a selection of food between the four of us and everything was cooked to perfection. We even ordered calamari which can be tricky to cook perfectly and they achieved it. We will definitely be back.

A nice variety of fun vegetarian options.

The food was way too salty. I called the manager’s attention to it and she said all their foods are well seasoned. If you can’t tolerate salt, and care about your health, this is not the place for you.
